That means they'll need to be careful to not compact that manure, as currently they can breathe, but if it compacts, that can quickly change. And if it does... well the objective will change from a rescue to body recovery. We had a much shallower trench collapse (worker was stuck belly down) and it still took 5 hours to dig him out. We couldn't risk compacting the dirt without risk the worker his legs, so that meant we had to start the dig relatively far away and dig towards them. Ground disturbances have to be careful and thought out, cause there's literal tons of dirt around them. If it moves or compacts... well human go squish. @@johnmichaelrutherford3514 [disclaimer: slight rant here, not ranting at you.] Just because it's a tv show first and foremost doesn't mean they can't have firefighters acting realistically. You know how in a lot of shows, including this one, firefighters use extinguishers a lot? that's silly. a lot of the time it's being used in unrealistic ways that any real firefighter would call stupid. You can see it a lot in some medical dramas as well, there can be a pretty big lack of realism. You can have a drama with some unrealistic elements and still have realistic activity, but that takes actual work with firefighters, and a lot of research, and a lot of creativity to dramatize it without losing out on the realism. When I watch a show like The Good Doctor or Chicago Med for example, I can be confident that I'm watching something that people have put a lot of care into to make it hold up in the medical department. On the other hand, if I were to watch Grey's Anatomy, I'm not going to have as much confidence in that. [this is because I've seen a medical professional rank a few different medical dramas in terms of realism. Grey's Anatomy was right in the middle of the ranking, a few below Scrubs. The Good Doctor was number 2!]. Similarly, I've seen a firefighter make fun of a lot of the general stuff in this show and others. Some people just want to make a "firefighting show" second to a "good drama", and that lowers that realism. On the other hand, I haven't ever heard him make the same complaints about Chicago Fire, so consider that if you want a show with maybe some more realism. I've heard that they worked a lot with real professionals for all three of the One Chicago series.

I can see Biff and Bufford Tannon's "encounters" with manure from the BACK TO THE FUTURE franchise being the inspiration for this karmatic episode. If either of the horrible characters had said, "I hate manure," like Biff and Bufford did in the films, that would have been the hilarious icing on the cake here.
Before anyone feels the need to tell me it's just a show, I know. This is shitty behaviour. It doesn't matter if you don't like someone, you do your damn job as an emergancy service. Reminds me of the firefighters that watched my grandmas house burn down because it was 20 feet out of city limit but still showed up to watch. Didn’t do anything to them before hand.
They look litigious and not under serious threat of injury or death. They should get the lawyer for the fire department to ok any work. After getting approval, maybe call in city lawyer for second opinion before preforming any actions
That's a lawsuit. The amount of gas/smell coming from the manure can actually get you unconscious and whilst sinking thusly kill you. Waiting for a laugh is just causing danger for no justifiable reason.
in that case, when theyre literally unable to breathe anymore and on the brink of unconsciousness, THEN and only then, they are allowed use for the medical face mask breathing. Since the couple really wants to go by the book. In clip, theyre just fine talking with the officers, there was no medical needs per se thus they are not eligible for the face mask respirator help. They're breathing just fine. and theyre not sinking any further. Theyre literally sitting in their car. Which is full of shit around. Nothing is sinking down.
I knew a fire fighter who told me once they cut a Porsche apart to "extract" a man. Hed been caught driving drunk once before, this was his second offense and hed wrecked his car. They only had to break some glass to get him out, but decided to be safe, they should remove the roof... and a door...

You don't get to cherry pick who deserves your help.
Treat others how you want to bec treated doesn't mean when someone's shitty to you, you can be just as shitty. It means always show kindness and respect even if others don't do the same.
Two wrongs don't make a right. An eye for an eye and the workd will soon ve blind.
They are getting shovels are you a moron? Are they supposed to dig by hand? SMDH idiocy
I love the poetic justice
They need to check with city hall to make sure they are no pipes or wires running near them! 😅😅😅
LoL 😅😂
Maaaaaaaaan, this is a mood XD
This seems like an abuse of power
That would be a lawsuit writers should ask more Questions 😂
The lady in the dirt seems to be short circuiting 😅😅😅
...that's manure, not dirt. You can tell when the male FF paused in his talk with the trapped folk, and the lady who swallowed some was grossed out because she swallowed some of it, lol😂
That ain't no dirt that's doo doo
There are medical reasons here for the respirator. They could be breathing in fine particals that could cause pneumonia later on.
And that is still mercy for those two they could use water to help them out. If they were worried about swallowing what I can only assume is shit, if they were to use water they would be guzzling it
They not doing nothing wrong they doing everything by the book so they won’t get sued again by the couple.. they sued them last time when they bent the rules to save them last time so it’s not about mercy it’s about making no mistakes
Yep it's manure
The lady kneeling to introduce herself, was just lovely, purely evil, and extreme trolling😂
Winning the arguments in the shower personified
What a "shitty" situation 😂
Damn, they’re in some deep shit
Reminds me of the firefighters that watched my grandmas house burn down because it was 20 feet out of city limit but still showed up to watch. Didn’t do anything to them before hand.
Rules Of Not Messing With People:
DO NOT MESS WITH PEOPLE WHO:
1) Handle your food.
2) Handle your services.
3) HANDLE YOUR SAFETY.
I was taught this at very young age & have lived by it ever since 😂
Basically, don't bite the hand that feeds ya.
This episode was really good. They wound up dropping the complaint.
Karma is a b, revenge taste sweet! And stinks a little too 😂😂😂😂
They look litigious and not under serious threat of injury or death.
I'd grab a spoon cause them Karens are gonna be there for a while......funny how karma works.
Smart move. Give them a legitimate reason to complain, that'll show them
Got themselves in the shit 😅😅
For anyone wondering, the clip is from the series 911, season 4 episode 12
Lila sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it
