    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  3 года назад

      I kind of do but I understand where it could get lost in translation. You will want to make your loop just slightly bigger than the bead you are wanting to use to close the ends together. Then on the other side with the bead you will connect the bead like it is shown 😊 this is shown and somewhat explained in the beginning and end of the video, hopefully that helps 😊☮️💙🎶

    The way you ended it though,. If you pull on the rope with the bead on it it pulls out of the necklace. I only did 5 stitches and that wasn't enough to keep the loop in place. How do you prevent this. More stitches?

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  4 года назад

      Yes definitely more than five stitches. I usually do about ten if I can that way it gives it enough room to hold onto that string. I also work the last stitches as tight as I can to prevent that from happening! ☮️💙🎶

    Do you have any advise on how to stop the ends from fraying? Just to make it easier to add the beads if that hole is on the smaller side?

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  3 года назад +1

      I either use a piece of tape to keep it stiff and try to get it through the hole or I use a little bit of elmers glue on the end of the string and let it dry, I particularly like the glue when there are two or more strings cause you can twist them together with the glue on them and basically make them one string. Hope that helps! ☺️☮️💙🎶

    could you explain why, at the start, a 3rd string (11 inch) is used to tie the knot around the other two length cords? can you just use the two lengths to make a knot? i have add and a lot of tutorials are really hard for me to follow.

    • @TheCraftNut

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  4 года назад +1

      Yes I meant to say an 11 foot piece of hemp folded in half for knotting. It takes quite a lot of hemp to make a whole necklace. I also don’t switch out the pieces that I am using to knit, I use the same piece all the way through. ☮️💙🎶
