Great video. I'm new to Smite and have no idea. I chose to play it out of boredom and its become one of the few things i play. I unlocked Merlin recently and I'm still getting ahold of the game....and playing as Merlin. You can imagine how thats going lol this video was great for me, I needed this help and will continue to reference it. 💪🤺
I am not sure, if you mentioned it, but his passive (AA infused with magic) also stacks Soul Gem, so basically, in one full combo with ult hit and using basics to make use of the souls gem, you can stack it up and proc its passive 3 times in teamfight. 2+1+ult, 2 autos, 2+1, 3 autos, flick, auto... thats 13 stacks of soul gem if you use it correctly... in worst case scenario, if you dont have enough time in teamfight you proc it twice anyway, if you stack it up before teamfight, you proc the passive with the first ability. Also, i dont recommend using much of fire stance in long teamfights,. Without a lot of cc, youre better off just go arcane/frost bcs you can safely poke the enemy and do a lot of dmg anyway. Fire stance is great for early game clear and for burning objectives, but from mid game, its better to go cryo/arcane for teamfight, fire for securing the kills. In my case, i always start with arcane stance, and then switch depending on the situation. Also, once the mid game hits, the frost stance starts dealing enough dmg to clear lanes with only one combo, but your cooldowns are really fast. Also, i never build chronos pendant, early pen is better, pretty much in any scenario. Chronos starts to kick in in late mid game/ late game. I also like to use Typhoons fang as last item, especially then ppl facehug you all the time. The flick is ok, but it still doesnt give you enough space, bcs you are using your arcane stance for setting up a teamfight anyway. Lifesteal with pen helps significantly. I also dont understand, why ppl dont ever build Tablet of Destinies, its amazing item. When soul reaver doest like 150-200 per ability to tanks, tablet adds 120 every 2s. But this also procs on non tanky mobs. I started building it every game now on mages. Its super good.
I plan on doing more specific content to certain areas of the game as the channel grows! I'll probably make some joust and Duel guides as well. As for Merlin in those game modes, I would probably stay in ice stance more often since the 1 being a much lower cooldown would be better for those modes. Also see if your hunter can do the majority of the clear to allow you to poke, or in duel just playing safe until you hit 5 then using your extra ult damage to help swing the fight in your favor!

Quick question if your building tablet of destiny as your first item, what's your starter? Is it gem of focus or sands of time??
Thank you for a this build explanation i came back to the game with new items and everything
Welcome back! Yeah a lot has changed recently but glad you're back!!
Thanks bro
I genuinely didn't know the knock up happened on his void version of the ult.
Its really good for escaping, and also for burning people in fire stance!
Common LBN W

Great video, you are very good at explaining. Keep it up!
Any tips for joust or duel as Merlin?
