Hi sir.. let's say there are 10 items in the Requirement Document, then during Define Scope process only 8 of these were included in the scope. What needs to be done to the 2 excluded requirement, are they removed from the Requirement Document or simply updated with a comment like "excluded from scope"? Secondly will the Requirement Document need to be re-approved since it became the requirement baseline when it got originally approved?
When the requirements are baselined initially, they are not firm or set in stone. When we define the scope, we update the requirements document with what is approved into the scope. Unused requirements should be marked somehow as “not used” but could be considered later in case it is deemed still needed. In an internal project, all baselines can be modified where the organization feels they need to, and the sponsor would have to approve. Hope this helps.
