Thoughts for John Hunt and his daughter at this time, absolutely heartbreaking news. As someone with two daughters and a Wife I can't imagine the pain he is in.
Thank you for always making time for us even on holiday 🙌🙌🙌
Good to hear somebody recognise our need for 8 defenders, four left footers is best too. Hoping kiwior stays and gets time in his best position as LCB. Needing two defensive units for 60-games, and these 8 allow many mixes and partnerships to develop if arteta is brave enough in the suitable games.
Good point on Merino / Watkins age. Agree 100%. I would go a bit further and say that by signing 28y Merino in combination with older backups in Partey and Jorginjo we could give some more first team opportunity to young midfilders in next 2 years . Maybe Nwaneri? Or maybe we buy some surprise talent to work on.
That was fodens best game but they all floated to sakas side alot which helped i have some criticisms though walker delivery of the ball to saka was crazy ,its either pinged to him or one hopped ,or he is passing that ball late so by time walker gives him the ball hes covered throughout the entire tournament ive noticed
That was some great deer content! You gotta do this vacation weekly Tom hahaha
As someone that has never supported the English national team in any sport ... i have to say from day 1 ive said i want them to win the Euros ... the performances have not been great but yesterdays performance is signs they could win it... its about time ... Saka to score the winner
Have to agree about Watkins, but Foden was back to his best.
He was, maybe I’m being harsh
The difference between Watkins and Moreno is the position they play. The physical requirements of football reduce as you gow down the pitch from striker to goalkeeper. Thats why you have keepers and defenders having the highest longevity. When a striker is 30 you immediately start thinking "this guys old".
OMG, mark this day, You gave Southgate a small bit of credit. Thabk the lord 😅😅 (only joking Tom, i hear ehat you are saying).
I see Riccardo Calafiori is busy snorkling with sharks today
Good morning! Well……how about England winning a place in the final!!! 💥
Yes, England played up to their potential. A couple of very nice goals.
Hi Tom. Great show as usual. Can the running deer be a regular part of the show going forward.
Sadly this is the last day
@@TheGoonerTalkTVtake the deer home with you as a pet... to compete with "Win the dog"😜😂🏃♂️
Sometimes coming in as a sub against tired legs is also a thing.
Kane will start.
His pen ensured Watkins goal was the winning goal.
Its a squad
Not panicking! I have faith that Edu and Arteta will only improve the team this summer.
Quite right too
Southgate took too long to make the Watkins for Kane change.
Tom, you are wrong about Foden. He has overcome the fears holding him back and is ready to be himself. If we had changed Kane for Watkins earlier , England would have regained control of the game and would have scored earlier.
I might be. But certainly not about Kane/Watkins
Run Tom it’s like Jurassic park the T rex is coming
Tom over there reporting live in the midst of Deer gang warfare!!! 🤣🤣
😂😂
David Attenborough-esque
Foden was so impressive yesterday. He is so good on the ball and knows the exact spaces to take up in a fluid lineup. I always say this imo some players are impact players in a team and it's okay. They come in with just the right type of play and energy that takes advantage of tiring defences.
Now see, it’s fascinating watching wildlife on holiday. Come on over here to see bears, mountain lions, coyotes, bison, and a plethora of wildlife that you’d be stunned by.
I like Kiwior. I don’t think he’s received much love as a result of his move to Arsenal.
Kane starts the subs are important against tired legs
Lyndhurst is a vibe
They will never drop Kane.....
Tom what are your thoughts on rejinders?
Can’t say I have too strong an opinion tbh
Could Timber not be our new Thomas Partey??
Tom for me I would change Bellingham for Parlmer, apart from scoring I don’t think his done much in the games and for balance I would play Gordons
Front four:
Watkins
Parlmer/Gordon Foden. Saka
He’s just one of those that can do the incredible match winning moments
@@TheGoonerTalkTV I agree, he can still do that in the last 20min coming off bench for Foden. I just don’t think they can play together, this feels like the Lampard/Gerald situation, sometimes you just have to drop one and for me I drop Bellingham to become that player off the bench but still puts fear in the opposition which could be an advantage in itself come this final.
Nah I know what he can do and he needs to start
Ohh I really disagree with your England take. Coming on late against tired players is completely different to starting. I hate Harry Kane. But he has to start. He’s the captain and the most clinical player we have. And the Foden take is wild. Keep it at is or bring shaw in and having that level of explosiveness to come on later I think is better. Anyway. CMON ENGLAND and arsenal
Will win the league this year ❤️
Good performance by England, though I don't see them beating Spain. Williams and Yamal are going to be a problem.
Don’t let the deer trample you on your return to your ‘glamp’.
We don't need 8 defenders. Even Pep doesn't have 8 good defenders, Gomez and Lewis were his depth options. No team can handle rotating 8 defenders. If Ricardo comes it's over for atleast 1 of our current defender
And i would not put hope on Nunes situation influencing livepool season. These things bring bad luck.
To be fair to the haters, Watkins has developed incredibly under Emery. He did not look like he was going to reach this level before.
Not entirely true. 14,11,15,19 are his PL goal tallies at Villa.
He’s come into his prime under Emery which has helped and he’s done a great job getting the best from him. But to say he didn’t look like he’d reach this level would be unfair
@@TheGoonerTalkTV I dont think those numbers really show the whole picture. Before Emery he had 0.45 goal contributions per 90. With Emery he has 0.82. That's a big jump. He didnt have an upward trajectory under Gerrard either. He scored 2 goals in the first 11 games of 22/23 until Gerrard left.
Do you have the goal per min for each season?
@@TheGoonerTalkTV Yeah, 0.38,0.34,0.43,0.53 but Gerrard was still managing until October of the 3rd season and this is a narrow view of what Emery has done for him.
Looks like a trend of a rise there the dip explained by a poor Villa side under Gerrard and yet he still delivers double figures.
No one’s denying Emery’s impact but what you said earlier about no signs doesn’t add up
WE WANT ISAK
You’ll be disappointed
@@TheGoonerTalkTV that's OK.. I just wish arsenal would test Newcastles resolve ...we should atleast try .
To me isak is that signing.
How can they? They don’t have the financial freedom to do that
@@TheGoonerTalkTVI'm not an account entry but I think with the potential out goings... I think we can structure a deal of about 100-130 for ISAK
Even that’s not enough
Some great free publicity across the pond! Sir Keir Starmer will present Joe Biden with a personalised Arsenal shirt when the pair meet at the White House. The shirt, with Mr Biden’s surname and the number 46 - a reference to his presidential number - will be handed over by UK officials to White House aides.
Merino not good enough
Why’s that Steven?
Merino is a brilliant player, can score create and defend. He is a unit. He has premier league experience. Uses both feet.
I don’t think Steven knows
