@@JohnLW100 First of all, I hate that you've had that experience not once, but twice. Still, I have to disagree with the idea that being groped as a way to assess the sexual preference of a victim somehow lessens the entitlement or arrogance of the act. If a man groped a woman and then said, "Oh, I was just trying to discover if you were heterosexual or not," he would end up in jail so fast, probably clutching his crotch in agony. Kevin Spacey not only ran his hand up the inside of this high-school kid's leg, he followed the kid when he twice tried change his position to get away and persisted in grabbing and handling him. That's assault, plain and simple. And unbelievable entitlement and arrogance.
@JohnLW100 What happened to you was VILE. I hope that you're working through the trauma, which, I imagine, can be a life long process. What's also vile, is the number of people here shrugging and saying "Well Spacey was found not guilty, so...." 🤷♂️..He was found not guilty because these kinds of sexual assault/groping cases are NOTORIOUSLY difficult to prove in court. There is always a lack of physical evidence simply due to the nature of the crime, and so unless there is eyewitness testimony, it becomes he-said, she-said (or he-said, he-said). And just like you stated, a confident and practiced predator, KNOWS how to get away with it, without anyone seeing it. A not guilty verdict, in a case like that, means NOTHING.
I am female, but my following statement applies to anyone who has acted as KS did. The people that behave in this manner think that they are so charming, attractive, powerful etc. that everyone would want this attention from them. So, IMO, he doesn’t really think he did anything inappropriate.
I agree. It seems to me that he still really doesn't get it. Like he has a giant blind spot. To me, he doesn't seem evasive so much as lacking the ability to comprehend.
Around 49:00 the replay of him describing how he was misunderstood as a mentor imo he is describing himself as a predator. From a female perspective and what I’ve experienced personally with powerful professional men, he is a predator.
Girl as soon as he started burying those questions... I feel pretty uncomfortable now watching him... otherwise he's just the narcissist you'd expect 🤷🏻♀️
I worked with the Executive Director of a New York theatre company (a married man with children) who had a meeting with Kevin. One that Kevin requested be at his residence. The ED returned from that experience distraught as Kevin had come on to him. We laughed it off, but shame was attached, and the power dynamics were real as this ED was asking for Kevin to participate in the company at some level. It was inappropriate behaviour, and it stuck with me. Let's say when the accusations came out, no one in my peripheral was surprised.
Here's the thing...Very often... Chase is neuroscientifically and human psyche angled. Scott precisely breaks down and relates what we're seeing to real life norms, to dismantle and re-build the knowledge in our heads. Greg is a hair-trigger, X-ray visioned, laser tripwire for any deviation of baseline, with a permanent hand on his interrogatory sidearm; Mark operates in an acutely 'Bowden Plane' of unpredictable detail around the detail. Then they all bloody go and mix it up and interchangeably angle these perspectives differently without warning. An astonishing bunch of intellects, these Behaviour chaps. What a 🎁 they are! 🌷🌿
It's true! It's a perfect group for teaching us. If you can't grasp one person's analysis fully, the next one can usually reframe it for you in a way you can identify with. It's why I love this channel so much.
@@Daniela-Christianson , but Hollywood breeds predators and those that are not sure who they are yet, can be had. Beautiful talented men and women that are new or naïve, will be sought after as new prey, and the newbies will welcome it in, not noticing at first, what's going on,. If you are alert, you will notice something isn't just quite right. We have gut instincts, like all other animals. Usually and unfortunately this can go on a bit, because you're having too good a time. Those with high self esteem and good boundaries don't fall for it once they see it. They walk away. Those with family issues not solved yet will fall all in and become trauma bonded. There's good things that come out of this - the pain will cause you to discover you are worth more and you can continue going way up the hierarchy of life if you want to.
@@Daniela-Christianson I agree, in that, when it comes down to it, we are all responsible for our own conduct - no matter what personality group you fall into.
My mom was an actor and Spacey was at a gala for her theatre in Rhode Island. Spacey got drunk and AGGRESSIVELY hit on waiters, other actors, and guests. Everyone noticed it. Obviously he behaved like that all of the time. His behaviour was well known in the industry. Also, remember when he first went to London and got "mugged" in a park at 3am? That wasn't a mugging.
Can't put a blanket statement based on one night though to be fair. I've been an asshole when drunk when I was younger and going out with friends but I never behaved that way out with that. I don't drink at all now, I don't like it.
He is not innocent by any means. He is smart talented and egocentric, so he knew at some level this was wrong. Regardless of his reliance on the culture of silence, he knew what powerless felt like because of his upbringing. He chose to exert his power (subtlety at first then more directly - this is called grooming not mentorship but politicians and entertainers and corporate leaders often get that confused).
He is innocent by all means. Multiple courts have found that to be so. He knew what was wrong? Do you even know the allegations and the fact that these stories were not just found to be not true, but absolutely fabricated?
Mark is not considering what Spacey refers to: Presentism. Today we want to hold people accountable to today's culture when they behaved in an earlier time when that behavior was almost acceptable. I say "almost" because he is admitting that his behavior was wrong.
Everyone watching this who has worked in the film industry and either knows or has worked with Kevin knows he did some or all of what he was accused of. He was very cocky and very charming and very entitled. What always surprised us was that he seemed to back out of the public eye because of the accusations, when nothing had been proven. Good job on this.
Kevin Spacey is a mild Russell Brand. People are forgetting that casual sexual harassment and borderline assaults only became socially unacceptable in the last 10 years. That doesn't excuse the behaviour, but victims were told to accept it. I remember leaving multiple clubs as a young woman out of frustration for being harassed rather feeling empowered that I could ask the staff to stand up for me.
Agree. I’m a bit younger than Spacey, but close enough to know things were very different back then. As you say, that doesn’t mean it was OK, but uninvited sexual attention and flirting and being cat-called and so on was everywhere, and it was unremarkable, and most of us just had to shrug it off. FWIW, I believe KS is mostly being truthful.
For Kevin Spacey, this was a "job interview" to try to show Hollywood producers and directors that he's "reformed" and "sorry" and essentially beg them to give him jobs. I think that was the sole purpose of this interview, as well as the even more pathetic one he did with Piers Morgan.
I just watched both parts of the documentary about Spacey. I agree that he’s coming off as sincere in the clips the Panel is examining in this episode, but after watching the documentary Kevin Spacey Unmasked I definitely don’t believe the men being interviewed are lying, most of them are homosexual themselves, with a few exceptions. Spacey’s own brother is interviewed as well and they both came from a severely dysfunctional violent household. I highly recommend watching this documentary.
I watched that video and the big difference is they weren't being interviewed on the spot. They had time to prepare their accusations and it felt rehearsed and intended to damn.
Totally agree with you. I watched Spacey Unmasked first. I felt the majority of the accusers seemed truthful and honest. Obviously there are shades of veracity. But seems like most of them were truly duped into it or sincerely undesirous of his predatory advances. Yeah sure he acts naïve here but it seems very disingenuous to me. You can’t tell me a guy of his statue is unaware that he has power? No - I am not buying that one bit. I was kind of on KS’s side till I saw the documentary and I feel like this many people coming forward with virtually the same story is incredibly improbable. Like Chase often says… What is he leaving out? KS is owning a few small things but we can see the fire through the smoke. It’s too bad that he is getting rightfully skewered by his own misdeeds because many of us wanted to believe he wouldn’t do these things. But at the end of the day, KS is very smart … and his biggest mistake is thinking he’s smarter than everyone else. (And an eggplant) 🍆
I’ve read that Spacey stays in character off the set throughout his movies. You’re not allowed to call him by his name, only the characters name. So given that, yes he can act for 1 1/2 hours in any interview.
@@lapernice6978 wouldn’t you be? Knowing that the slightest wrong word you say will get jumped all over and cancel you for another few years. Anyone in this situ would have to be very careful and considered about every word that came out of their mouth, and in what order.
He's a masterclass actor and can be acting at any moment in any interview to get the results or be looked at exactly as he wants. Watch his Tucker Carlson interview that he was in Fracis Underwood character the entire interview and was literally portraying a different person perfectly.
Kevin Spacey will always give me the creeps... i think some of his acting comes from being creepy... he plays a GREAT creep on "tv" lol But ya something about him is very very creepy
It’s true! We were able to watch this genuinely creepy dude so closely, but safely. His unsettling effect was praised. It didn’t even occur to me that it wasn’t craft. Troubling.
@24:50 - never put him self in a situation where he's um, "a sexual predator behaving extremely inappropriately in a professional environment". I've worked in film for 30 years - none of this behaviour from any cast or crew would have been "normal or acceptable". Just because the legal cases were dismissed doesn't mean he isn't a sociopath.
I’ve a brother with a narcissistic personality disorder. He lies, he believes his own lies and seriously manages to do things to others but his brain processes it that he’s the victim. He’d have no problem then convincing others he’s not lying which explains a lot why he’s believed so often.
Naïveté? He’s trivializing criminal abuse / softening it by using words like “horseplay” and elevating “the work” as “sacred” so people will overlook the severity of his actions; no “lying” because he’s a narcissist and thinks he did nothing wrong.
That is true in general, but in this case I don't think the gender matters; there's been too many false accusations in hollywood the past years and since there's no proof of things that happened so long ago, it's becoming difficult to believe anything. "Believe all victims" have been ruined by the Amber Heards of the world.
He has a strong theater background, which is acting for hours at a time, sometimes twice a day. It's not impossible and he is that good. Especially since his life, reputation and finances are at stake.
He is definitely scrambling for excuses but not really proclaiming his innocence. I used to love him as an actor. Now, he makes my skin crawl when I hear his voice. 🫣😬😫🤢🤮🤮🤮
The first time ever, I disagree with the panel. You described him as God tier stature (regarding his postion in the acting world)...yet say there is an element of naivety? Not a chance!.. This man is a predator that has been outed and he is damage controlling with safe answers, correlating to some truthful factors. How they cant see the deception in him has shocked me. I genuinely believe these holywood celebs have far more power than we give them credit for. He is a method actor that make his start in theatre, he can lie for hours and hours, let alone having legal advise and time to prepare for this interview. He isnt remorseful, he's pissed that he's now in a position to be questioned about his sick antics. - how dare the peasants revolt type of mentality. He uses so much corrective safe language to deviate away from accepting complete responsibility.
This man is extremely clever and great actor. I have the feeling he was so good in playing Frank Underwood because he might share some characteristics with him. When I started really having doubts about Spacey as a person was when I saw the picture with Ghislaine Maxwell.
I think the guys vastly underestimate Spacey's acting ability. He has studied how the face indicates different emotions. He knows when and how the brows are supposed to clench!
Chase nailed it when he said Hollywood being severely out of touch with reality. It really is true, to the point where I can believe that Kevin Spacey actually didn’t realise how his status impacted people.
Utterly shocked by his geographical origins. He is a chameleon. 😅 Kindest way I can explain. He was my favourite actor. Turns out he is a better actor than I thought. 😢
Out of all Hollywood downfalls, Kevin Spacy's downfall was the saddest for me, as he is truly a talented and fascinating actor of my time. It is sad that he could not behave properly and brought himself down.
I think the point is, something like putting your hand on someone's shoulder when it makes them uncomfortable has been conflated with sexual assault and it's not right. These things used to be handled outside the court. I don't think people's lives should be ruined based on someone brushing up against you at a bar.
Friend’s of ours had a young son(19) who was cast in a minor acting role on the same set as Spacey in Toronto years ago. Spacey hit on him and made him very uncomfortable. He handled it and just made sure to avoid him.
Think of all the young men who didn't have the luxury of being able to avoid him........to a young man who isn't happy about that kind of attention, it must be very traumatizing......
@@TypicalVirgo0823 He handled it, but didn’t tell his parents right away because he knew his parents would be horrified(they were) and make him quit. It was his first experience of the underbelly of the Hollywood industry and his parents had a lot of talks with him about the price to be paid to make it as an actor. He eventually chose uni and a different career and is very happy he did. So yes, to your point, he was a straight, kinda naive small town kid with parents who really cared, but how very sad for all the boys who didn’t have that level of support.
We can all quote Greg in unison here: “the organism does what…” Yes, he’s trying to act his way out of being caught, because that worked/works for him, so his career can survive.
Spacey may have been flirty and inappropriate but he was not malicious. He didn't rape or force anyone and even jury's in his civil case didn't convict with the evidence shown...but somehow you know. Get your head out of cancel culture witch hunter.
@@laurengeddes9695absolutely agree. I had to stop watching in the end, I emailed my trauma therapist part way through! The man is an absolute piece of sh*t
I have a friend who was a dancer in NYC. Said it was an unspoken truth that if you wanted the best parts/jobs, you could sleep your way to them. Never spoken about; but always there in the room. Hollywood has gotta have higher stakes than Broadway. It’s a sleazy business. And the Me Too Movement was great in one way, a witch hunt in another.
That was my thought--even us common people who have never had anything to do with Hollywood know about "sleeping your way to the top" and that the business is sleazy and involves all sorts of inappropriate, abusive, even criminal behavior and power dynamics being used to one's advantage. Someone who went through the process of going from a "normal person" to a Hollywood star would have known that from experience as he was working his way to success. He knew what he was doing, he just didn't think it could come back to bite him in the ass.
Oh brother! Give me a break! Do NOT tell me that someone this articulate (& presumably intelligent) DOES NOT KNOW that there IS a power differential, whether one explicitly STATES this fact or not. In fact, it almost NEVER gets said EXPLICITLY: "I'll give you the part if you give me a little couch action". (2) He's denying that he did it, W/the 14-year-old, because he feels he has "plausible" deniability? (i.e., he might have been drunk, so it's possible he did it b/c of alcohol?) Means he knows it's VERY WELL within his behavioral capacity. So how does he "KNOW" it's false?!! Bullsh*t.
Just started watching but just the initial clips I have seen, he seems genuine to me. He seemed so relaxed and secure in himself but I’m not the expert. Hence me watching with an open mind ❤
I put him in the same group as Roman Polanski and Woody Allen. They seem like seedy characters with questionable morals, but they are extremely talented and have made some of the best films in history.

Predators believe what they r doing is ok. To down grade SA to horse play is NORMALIZING criminal activity. And when he comes out as gay he is counting for the loud support of the LGBT + community. Just my opinion.
I listened to his lengthy interview with Dan Wooton today. I recommend it. Very informative. And it includes his explanation on the timing of that gay announcement.
“Everything looks as it should” lol I gave a presentation at work this week and used the quote “specific words and phrases”….no one knew I was doing a Scott Rouse. If I had to pick one RUclips channel to follow it would be TBP. I learn so much from you all.
"Never put myself in a situation" is not deliberate naiveté, it's a figure of speech instead of saying "never create situations" thus directly blaming himself
I've never been able to stand Kevin Spacey, not as himself (supposedly) in an interview and not as an actor. I always thought he was arrogant and smug, and my opinion has not changed by watching this. I know that doesn't address whether or not he's telling the truth, but I do not like this guy. Ugh. And I'll add, now that I'm near the end of this, that even Chase, who tends to call the people in the videos by their first name and started out with this calling him Kevin, started referring to him as Spacey about 2/3 of the way through.
When he says horseplay, sexual innuendos, and the like, that doesnt warrant the kind of guilt hes displaying at the end of the clip. Then he ends by saying "will never happen again" whos he trying to convince? the victims? hes a pathological liar. Constantly redirecting
You have to ask yourself, when is Spacey acting? He has control over his acting self. He can cry on cue. Act shamed on cue. Act angry, innocent, compassionate…some people say that acting is like being a sociopath. People “act as if” on stage and set. At times, the lines are blurred. Boundaries pushed.
When I was teaching, I didn't allow 'horseplay' because it usually led to someone getting hurt. 'Horseplay' would become an excuse for hurting someone.
He absolutely believes he hasn't done anything wrong or on the level that he's being accused of. Easy to confidently deny when you believe it to be true.
Honestly I think in some deep way he knows what he is, he just doesn't care. I believe, though he does want to change his behavior to get his work back.
People having doubts need to read the articles about Bryan Singer, the director of Usual Suspects. It talks about the scene around him and includes Kevin Spacey. Creep shows, both of them.
I love you guys, superb analysis as always! If I may be so bold, there's a crucial consideration point missing in your analysis, and I'm directing this more at the commenters below who clearly have this blind spot. The gay male subculture has its own language, rules, behaviours and codes. You can't analyse what he did or didn't do using heterosexual codes of behaviour. You just can't. And I think that's what's caused Spacey the most trouble here. What's normal for gay men appears super promiscuous and sleazy to the straight population. I speak as a victim of serious sexual assault - based on his interviews on this, I do think he shows genuine remorse, even if his naivety is questionable. He's demonstrated steps to address his past mistakes and hurts caused, which is way more than what most perps do. He's no Weinstein nor anywhere close. His creepy sleazy vibe has always been part of his schtick as an actor. The man doesn't deserve to lose his career over this and I think the accusations could have been handled differently.
I couldnt agree more. I meant to include this in my comment. You cAN FEEL the inherent bias and fear of a gay man embedded into many of theee comments. Most of them likely don’t even realize it. 😔
he's also been interviewing on various YT podcasts, too, pretending that he has just learned how inappropriate his behavior has been for years...there were 30 accusers
A very common statement from sexual abusers. They really don’t think what they’ve done is of any consequence and actually don’t comprehend they’ve done anything wrong.
This reminds me of Steve Carell’s character in The Morning Show. His earnest self defense in the face of the truth that emerges about him. There’s a total blindness to the impact of his behavior because he sees himself as a hero.
I've never had a liking for this man. He gives me the creeps, he makes my alarm bells ring. I think he's hiding whatever. I don't trust him. I don't think he's innocent.
Agree. I fully believe he got a top notch psychologist to coach him on how to answer these questions. He has no conscience of course his body language is unreadable. No shame, no guilt to trigger micro aggressions.
53:44 Scott ... talking about how genuinely Kevin seems to be feeling something, about helping others, etc. When I listen to Kevin in this segment, all I heard was an act. Questions are very specific and drilling but Kevin is just sliding away from responsibility, minimising, and avoiding the questions ... He's just an actor; a consumate one.
He's been giving me the creeps since the 90s. Aside from being an actor, he's in portrayal constantly. He spent alot of years hiding his true self and for him, I think its like a game. He gives me darkness vibes *shiver*
I was disgusted by him in American Pie. Even though it was a roll, the fact that he played the part changed how I saw him forever, and I couldn't watch any more of his movies/shows.
When he spoke about his therapist as though he was really the victim was a give away. He seems to just want therapy as it’s easier than true repentance. I wouldn’t want to see him cancelled but I’d never want a male family member left alone with him. People can change and learn but I’m not convinced he’s a truly changed man. And as for acting actors can do plays that last for 2hrs, even one man shows.
I remember at the end of the 90’s a detective in Venezuela because they were investigating paedophilia, said that they had pics of KS in Cuba asking for young boys 🤷🏽♀️, I remember I thought that that was crazy because I liked KS as an actor… But know, in my opinion, he is guilty and that Venezuelan detective was right!
Would love to see these guys comment on Jennifer McCabe being questioned by the defense! So much going on there! (Karen Read trial day 15, cross-examination)
If you have this magical ability, I guess the justice system can stop all they're doing and have you decide who is guilty or not. Hurry to some science lab to prove that you really have these magical ability before more taxes are wasted in our justice system!
Kevin Spacey made a mistake talking about alleged predatory behavior on a minor with his coming out as gay in the same statement. He did the gay community, no favors.
Stage acting isn't the same as film acting. Theatrical body language, less emphasis on subtle facial expression because most of the audience can't see it anyway

Around 49:00 the replay of him describing how he was misunderstood as a mentor imo he is describing himself as a predator. From a female perspective and what I’ve experienced personally with powerful professional men, he is a predator.

@@reeferseasalt Yes! The moment he started! My creep meter stayed far right.
Top tip for adults: don't make passes at children and you'll never have to worry about whether you can reliably deny such accusations later.
I believe the son was a young adult, but I’m not sure. Either way, quite young and it was inappropriate.
I'm not buying he thinks anything is a little thing. No one wants to be touched inappropriately no matter how famous you are!

Typical Hollywood. I’m a god, how dare you question my actions.
The public and human nature also makes them act like gods, since people revere celebrities and forget that they are human like the rest of us.
I'm not gonna write all of Hollywood off as being sexually predatory. This is on Kevin Spacey alone.
One drunken night is not the same as "obviously all the time". We all have bad days, famous or not.
@@SpaceCattttt People typically don’t sexually molest on their bad days.
Can't put a blanket statement based on one night though to be fair. I've been an asshole when drunk when I was younger and going out with friends but I never behaved that way out with that. I don't drink at all now, I don't like it.
@@SpaceCatttttthere were rumors in various settings for years. On set. During massages. Etc. The allegations go back decades

Proof? Words and speculation is not evidence.
... .he plays complex roles and a good actor.
... there is a darkness there, even he cannot control.
I think, I know, that propositioning children was never ok. We can debate 16,17 as in, did you know, but not 14.
Wow. A Hollywood celebrity accused of sexual misconduct with under-aged actors. I might need to sit down...
🤣😂🤣🥴😁
“Horseplay” just reminds me of Jerry Sandusky, i.e. the defense offered up by groomers to cover for inappropriate contact.
Gregg brings him up
Everyone watching this who has worked in the film industry and either knows or has worked with Kevin knows he did some or all of what he was accused of.
Please do the Piers Morgan interview. He’s a better interviewer.
Did we watch the same clips? He came off as creepy creepertons and did himself no favors.
He’s an actor he prepared for this.
Good point
I’ve read that Spacey stays in character off the set throughout his movies. You’re not allowed to call him by his name, only the characters name. So given that, yes he can act for 1 1/2 hours in any interview.
If you believe everything you read, you must be clueless as opposed to educated.
He is very aware and controlled in every word and movement here, too
@@lapernice6978 wouldn’t you be? Knowing that the slightest wrong word you say will get jumped all over and cancel you for another few years. Anyone in this situ would have to be very careful and considered about every word that came out of their mouth, and in what order.

Kevin Spacey will always give me the creeps... i think some of his acting comes from being creepy... he plays a GREAT creep on "tv" lol But ya something about him is very very creepy
Great point! I found him creepy in American Beauty and thought, "how talented". Now I see he was playing himself.
Thank you!! Everyone assumes this is business as usual in filmmaking and it isn't! "He's just like everyone else in Hollywood"- no he isn't.
I’ve a brother with a narcissistic personality disorder. He lies, he believes his own lies and seriously manages to do things to others but his brain processes it that he’s the victim. He’d have no problem then convincing others he’s not lying which explains a lot why he’s believed so often.
It’s not a disorder. He’s just a liar, and chooses to be one.

I think male victims have a harder time being believed in many cases. If I hear “horseplay” from this guy one more time 😡
That is true in general, but in this case I don't think the gender matters; there's been too many false accusations in hollywood the past years and since there's no proof of things that happened so long ago, it's becoming difficult to believe anything. "Believe all victims" have been ruined by the Amber Heards of the world.
I think he has chosen to believe what he's saying, but I still don't believe that he is not a predator.

He is definitely scrambling for excuses but not really proclaiming his innocence. I used to love him as an actor. Now, he makes my skin crawl when I hear his voice. 🫣😬😫🤢🤮🤮🤮
Predators always feel like the beset victims.
Besides all these men being brilliant at their crafts and so entertaining, what I love watching is their genuine friendships 😊
Their interactions have definitely become more relaxed and teasing when compared to the first few years of TBP. So much more fun for all of us!
Chase nailed it when he said Hollywood being severely out of touch with reality. It really is true, to the point where I can believe that Kevin Spacey actually didn’t realise how his status impacted people.

Out of all Hollywood downfalls, Kevin Spacy's downfall was the saddest for me, as he is truly a talented and fascinating actor of my time. It is sad that he could not behave properly and brought himself down.
People pretend their whole lives, I don't think an actor has a problem pretending for a few hours.
He is remorseful at being caught not the behavior, like all criminals.

Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 I wouldn't trust him as far as you could throw him!
I think the point is, something like putting your hand on someone's shoulder when it makes them uncomfortable has been conflated with sexual assault and it's not right. These things used to be handled outside the court. I don't think people's lives should be ruined based on someone brushing up against you at a bar.
He's admitting being sexually abusive. Believe him.

I just pointed that out to my bf ... deff hit weirdly
I believe it.
Of course he FEELS he’s been “wronged” Scott! But that doesn’t mean he didn’t do what he was accused of doing!
i don't believe a word this man says. he has an outstanding talent for acting and creepiness.
Kevin Spacey uses distancing in using these euphemism’s like “horseplay” he is minimizing his behaviors.

"Never put myself in a situation" is not deliberate naiveté, it's a figure of speech instead of saying "never create situations" thus directly blaming himself
Hated Spacey before, this solidifies it.
Love Spacey , one of the best actors of all time , unbelievable talent.
Well then it's best to found all actors guilty if they are accused of something... Because they can lie to us, so they probably are
When I was teaching, I didn't allow 'horseplay' because it usually led to someone getting hurt. 'Horseplay' would become an excuse for hurting someone.
He absolutely believes he hasn't done anything wrong or on the level that he's being accused of. Easy to confidently deny when you believe it to be true.
That's what actors do.
I'm so glad you said this. I was thinking the same thing... 👍🏻
