  • Words Of Love. Written in 1966 by John Phillips of the Mamas & the Papas for their 2nd studio album of the same name. It featured Cass Elliot on lead vocals, and showcased her powerhouse Alto voice and throwback style of singing. It was only a matter of time before she busted out to bigger and better things! It's just such a shame that her life was cut short at only 32 years old. Such a beautiful and powerful set of chops on her, I can only imagine what she would've done had she lived longer.
Anyway, I thought I'd give this one a try, albeit a semi-tone down from where Cass sang it...which was still too high for me! But...whaddya gonna do, except try your best to reach for those notes!
    * Dedicating this one to ‪@DukeofUke61‬ , who put this song on my radar!
I hope you'll enjoy my ukulele version of this Mamas & Papas classic!
