    I love your channel. I've recently just started PAT testing. I have done the course and got my certificate. I have few questions really. How do PAT testers do do many in a day? How do you do surge proof and RCD extension leads. And are printers like Xerox done differently. I come across all these regularly and wondered if you can cover them. Keep up the good work 👍

    Great advice. The duty holder could come unstuck if they can not provide evidence of steps they have taken to minimise risk from the use of electrical equipment. Pat labels and records are an essentail part of my larger clients health and safety policy as they need to provide record when the are audited.

    Let me know if you have any questions?

      I'd be interested to see a video on testing PowerCON leads and interlink/extension leads if you haven't already done one. In particular the connectors required to make up your own test leads for PowerCON. It's a bit niche, but important for DJs and small drama groups.

    Hello, very helpful video I must say, it helped me a lot but I got a question about the APP ID, does the APP ID on the sticker go on the certificate too ? Under assist ID, or there is another column for the APP ID.

      I put the app ID on the asset register that you should also be sending to your customer.

    Hi mate, interesting videos. I’m about to do my City and Guild 2377-77 course and I can go and work for a company on a self-employed basis or I can go it alone (but don’t know where to start really). What would you recommend? Thanks.

      I’d certainly recommend offering to do some PAT testing for friends if they have any rented properties or DJ equipment etc… and this way you will find your feet and gain much needed experience.

    there no mention of fuse ratings nor does the software cater for it ive had led lights that have 13amp fuses from new should be 3amp

    • @caterhampattesting
      @caterhampattesting  Год назад

      There isn't any guidance that fuse ratings must be put on to labels. PAT testing software and also the Apollo machines do have the capacity to enter fuse ratings.
      Also remeber that the fuse is there to protect the flex and not the appliance.

    Good afternoon,
    I watched the video, and I confess it was constructive. However, I must ask: how did you manage to personalise the PASS Labels? Can it be done with the FAIL Labels as well?
    Best regards.

      Yes I don't see why not but I tend to just use generic fail labels as it is cheaper.
