- I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

"You took *four!* You big 🐷!!" That was too funny! Also, trying to say that raccoons don't have saliva is so laughable it's ridiculous. They need saliva to chew their food. Plus, they're mammals. All mammals have saliva as far as I know. Someone was just trying to pull our collective legs - lol 😆
Some of them are so polite, some just reach into the box to help themselves, it's facinating to see difference in personality.
I just love how scooter gets so excited. He nust darts and dashes all over the deck. They are just so darn cute lol

That wooden sculpture is gorgeous. Connor and Charlotte are so beautiful. My cat sleeps most of the day and comes to bed with me walking on me, purring and sleeping on me. I love it. 🦝🐈❤️🥰💜🇨🇦

My Scooter is so speedy! The raccoons are endearing, and I have grown to love them and the kitties and love to see their nightly antics ❤❤❤❤❤

I grew up on a farm in Missouri near a river. The racoons would come and steal sweet corn from the garden then carry it down to the river to wash it before they ate it. They would peel the shucks off and leave on the banks.
Maybe Scooter shares some of their DNA...the stealing of food...

Quite scary the level of ignorance & the lack of willingness to learn for themselves. I like to learn something new every day if I can, no matter how small. Remembering it is another question 😂. That is the great side of the internet though, it does judge you if you ask the same question twice.

Racoons are called little Washing Bears in some parts of the world cause they like to,wash everything. So cute. They are so amazing. 🦝🦨🐈❤️🥰💜🇨🇦
I can honestly say I've been on RUclips since the beginning and I've never watched more ads than I do for Jim and his raccoons. It's the least I can do for how much joy they bring me. I didn't realize how much I missed these little bandits until I see their cute little arms reaching out for the goodies and they're adorable masked faces again. It fills me with such joy that I can't even explain it. I actually giggle and find myself wiggling in my seat because it's the cutest.
My absolute favorite part of this one is when the camera was on the raccoons alone and Jim was in the house. He was getting the treats ready. I was getting such a kick out of seeing their faces and doing what I tell my dog is the"listening ears" pose where their ears stick up even more because they hear a sound and think he's coming through the door. I thought it was the cutest thing on my German Shepherd dog does it. Seeing these little rascals do it melts my heart even more! Imagine my delight when Jim brings out grapes which is my absolute favorite thing for them to eat. The way they throw their head back and the little sounds they make just makes me makes me swoon.
Just when I thought these adorable things couldn't get any cuter, now I'm off to watch the videos of the babies!
Thanks for all you do for taking care of the raccoons Jim. Most especially thanks for sharing it with all of us. I apologize for all the idiots asking ridiculous questions. Having said that, I've realize there are A LOT of young people on here just like I was. Hopefully it was just youngins that didn't know any better and you can teach them a thing.

If you get tired of driving to Walmart maybe you could put in a huge order. I have a tiny chest freezer for overflow. It was pretty cheap. Your gas cost running to Walmart would pay for it. Just a thought.

All of them are fun to watch, but Sammy is one excellent critter. And the momma with her 4 babies laying in her side munching on dry food then leaving the 4 babies for Jim to babysit is priceless. 😎

Some videos are just too CUTE! I love to see the raccoons climb all over Jim, give him kisses, and scurry around his feet. It's obvious that they adore and trust him because they WANT to be hand-fed!
