I love everything about this - the reedy drone, the clear melody, the subtle decorations, bringing in the other pipe, the respect for the architecture of the tune. Totally involving. Beautiful - thank you.
To me, this is the very best of all the versions of this melody that I have heard on You Tube. I play a Bb Geoff Wooff set, and this rendition is the inspiration for me to try to copy and emulate. From NZ.
Thanks for this wonderful tune, and for demonstrating a Rogge B set in plumwood. I just bought it's twin sister and was wondering how plumwood would sound--which led me here-- and I'm not disappointed in the least!
Christian, are you using a shoulder strap to keep the pipes that high? And if so, what kind of shoulder strap is it? I'm looking for a shoulder strap but I just can't find something... Perhaps you can advice me. Kind regards!

Wow, probably my favorite version of this air. Masterful!
I honestly think you have my favorite rendition of this tune. If I ever make the jump from Highland pipes to Uilleann it'll be because of this air.
Lovely playing Christian and lovely sounding pipes also.Well done .
Thank you Stephen.
This is excellent. Thank you
Nice one Christian. Great tone and expression. The acoustics in the venue enhance the sound too. Lovely. (Boyd)

Thanks for your kind words, Ross. Any chance for a vid of you playing your Wooff set?
+silbenklempner Yes, but in a month or so, as I have to work out a little tachnicap problems and reed tunings. Ross

Nice changes with the secondary drones.

Yep. I finally found out that a simple knotted shoelace works best for me.
Magical!

This is the air that inspired seamus heaneys ,,the given note,,
great playing and awesome tune, my version is not quite as good I admit...
Indeed!! Re the flutes I am sorry but they are both keepers. Get one for yourself from Francois, you won't regret it 👍
Lovely rich sound & not so harsh as some renditions, forgive the pun, but a warm plummy tone.
