Gamed the Cobra LTDx for the longest time but also had my TM mini Brnr in place of my 3 wood. Went out of sorts with my driver and took it out of the bag entirely. Adjusted loft on the Brnr to 16.5 and it's MONEY off the tee. Probably averaging 225-230 with it (Not a long hitter at all). Funny enough my bag goes as follows Brnr, 5 wood, 7 wood, 9 wood, 11 wood, 7-PW Takomo 301CBs and a Cleveland smart sole chipper, oh and my LAB DF2.1. Playing pretty good rounds lately. Averaging 85-86. I do switch iron sets more than most however. My stealth HDs and Cleveland XL 2s are in the rotation when I'm going through a slump with the CBs. Sorry for long post. Once you get started it's hard to stop lol.
I have the TM mini driver and love it, 13.5° and use it on the tighter holes. It’s about 10 to 15 yards shorter than any of the drivers I use, but I love my drivers and they were great and I do hit them pretty straight as they are forgiving models so I don’t need to abandon them to put this in the bag. The TM mini driver just looks classy and retro and it sounds crunchy and produces great results. A great addition to any bag!
@@TheAverageGolferit sure does, and in the settings I have it in I only loose around 5 - 10 yrds but that evens it’s self out during a round with it being a fairway finder
@ it’s very versatile I generally tee it higher, standard driver height for bombs, or a bit lower for tighter fairways or windy conditions and a more penetrating flight
I built up a Mizuno 230 Max driver, tour AD VR6 shaft stiff, tip trimmed and cut to 44.75" final length, MCC teams +4 black grip. Its a keeper. I glued the adapter and trimmed/gripped it myself. Love being a club builder. ⛳ Keeper.
I'm pretty happy with my driver and have always hit driver pretty well. I only hit my 3 wood off the tee on tight par 4's. Im seriously considering replacing the 3 wood with the mini driver. I will use it on the tight par 4's and probably holes where I dont need max distance. I find that hitting driver just takes a toll on my 62 year old body.
Just missed out on the Taylormade BRNR Mini Driver 2024 a few weeks ago. Picking up an Alta CB 65 Black 3 Wood shaft to put in my Ping G430 MAX driver ... honestly, I can't wait to see if I can hit my driver straighter and more accurate with the shorter shaft.
I had a mini driver, should have kept it. Andy, I would have loved to have seen you play around with the Callaway settings to see if you could have gotten that spin number down.
TBH big fella.ive been gaming a Ping sft 425..inch off..lofted to 12°.im 64 play off 12..went to pro in June, tried all the shiny shiny.honest.none came close to my ping. Closest was Tour edge E725
Iain, I have a 425 max, 9 deg set at 10.5, worked with the pro and via club fittings for other brands and ended up changing the shaft to a reg flex 62g from the senior flex that was fitted. (64 like you). Did a deal With the pro for a shaft to suit from the fitting kit £60’so a bargain. I have an old steel shaft big Bertha 350cc driver I don’t use.

Sounds like a 3 wood replacement?
Purchased the TM Mini Brnr earlier this year 11.5 dg positioned the heavyweight forward and boom, been a game changer for me so accurate
It really does help with finding fairways Shaun and no great loss in distance

@@shaunkelley55 absolutely it does
Where do you guys tee the ball up for the mini? Lower or standard driver height?

Yes a good driver, agree the Tour Edge was a forgiving driver this year

Andy, do you tee the ball as you would with your standard driver?
No I don’t, I tee it a lot lower
Is a new Taylor made mini coming this year?
I don’t think so, this model was released this year, are they on a two year cycle?
Sorry but the titleist gt2 13.5 blows these 2 out of the water
Oh really what makes it different?
@TheAverageGolfer feel . Sound . And distance for me
Should have put mini driver in the thumbnail.....click bait
