This volcano erupts rare naturocarbanatite lava with almost no silicates, hence the very fluid low temperature flow. The caldera of this volcano has been filled with this lava and it sports spikes from which lava spurts called hornatitos, also a rare volcanic phenomenon. In low light the lava glows with an intense red color (not shown). The cone of the volcano was formed by andesite from earlier eruptions.
It is my absolute dream to visit this magnificent amazing volcano. My top favorite of any other. I wonder if there is another one like it anywhere in our solar system.
This volcano is only 1 in the whole world. It is in Tanzania, East Africa The liquid is cold and has viscosity lesser than water. Although its black when ejected, it gradually turns white. The one who posted this clip is silent about its details.
I have no doubt that this is lava like the scientists say it is. But looking on video without being there to feel the heat and smell the gasses released, part of my brain keeps (wrongly) insisting this is watery mud similar to the mud pots at Yellowstone. Just some weird cognitive dissonance I guess.🙂
I think this volcano is my all time favourite, just because it is so strange. The clip of video where the lava is foaming out of the vent is mavellous- if it weren't black in colour the lava could almost be spewing out of a detergent overdosed washing machine!
It's literally like from another Solar System, because it's a unique one in ours (probably). So it's even rarer than interstellar comets, as at least 2 have been found. Simply some galactic stuff.
Volcano's= Earth Zits. This has got to be one of the most beautiful volcano...taken at a far distance looks like silver...but then get up close and its like a false oasis ain't soi pretty but most certainly fascinating. Never seen lava that is foamy

Well, it's cold compared to other lavas. It's still very hot at over 500-600 degrees. DO NOT TOUCH!!!!
Cold means 450 centigrade! Don't put your hand in!
By night it is glowing deep red.
Because it is the only volcano on Earth containing carbonate minerals, not silicate, like the rest. This lava in this volcano is also colder.
is that why the lava is black
@@brenthicks2228 Yep! Because of the low temperatures, the lava does not glow like the typical Hawaiian stuff, at least, not in the daytime!
And it cools down and turns white!
I was surprised to learn, the Kaiserstuhl volcano in south west Germany spewed such carbonatitic lava before getting ectinct.
This feature is amazing
Thank you for sharing these remarkable sights.
Who thinks that this is the coolest and most unique volcano ever
Nope!
I do
This volcano is on my Bucket list like forever
Absolutely amazing to watch this lava flow like water. Thank you.

I remember being there in 2001,2002 and 2004 camping inside the crater for a week at a time
What do you do there for a week?

stunning!
Why is it so explosive is there water presence
この風景はもう無いんだよね😢
does it erupts continuously all the time?
How does it come up with Carbonite lava
