Hey, so I go to college for theatre design and tech. We use A LOT of beauty blenders and sponges for cream *gasp!* based makeup. If you just rub the blender under water against any unscented bar of soap, that sucker gets SUPER clean. Then you just rinse out until no more suds come out of the blender.
Cream-based makeup is death for a blender, but the bar of soap even 10 hours after using it leaves my blender with an extra 2-3 weeks(!) of life.

I clean my brushes ever 1 to 1,5 weeks, not only does it have to do with the hygienic part but you can actually get spots and blemishes from dirty brushes, please don't wait this long before cleaning them again!

A bar of soap works wonders on beauty blenders!! Any brand! Just wet them both and rub them together to saturate the sponge with the soap better!

You can wash your beauty blenders by microwaving them in a bowl of water that has a bit of dish soap in it (and maybe a teensy bit of olive oil too)
Let them soak in the hot water and when it cools down, rinse them

I cleaned my makeup brushes a few weeks ago because like you Kristen I almost never wash my brushes (but I almost never wear makeup because I don't have contacts that match my prescription so I can't see what I'm doing when I take my glasses off lol) but I cleaned my brushes and beauty blender using the beauty blender cleaning solution and my brushes and beauty blender were so amazing and clean and they dried super fast. I was worried it was going to take forever but it did not take more than a few hours I WAS SHOCKED! Lol but thank you so much Kristen for another great video

Kristin ... I watched a video long ago on cleaning beauty blender type sponges. Take a bar of soap and with the warm water running, firmly rub the sponge on the soap bar then squeeze out the soap/makeup from the spot and keep turning & rubbing on the bar until clean. I tried it with Irish Spring bar soap and it works perfectly and smells great!🌿

Well they definitely needed a good cleaning😂😂 And it is quite satisfying!🙈 P.s just a little side note; you should clean your makeup brushes at least once a month maybe more if you use them daily, because the makeup and dirt and oil builds up in the brushes and when you go to use it again it could cause you to breakout. Even if it hasn’t happened to you yet, it will one day I promise you😂 So yeah that was just my advice, take it you want. I won’t be offended if you don’t😂❤️

I think you did great but something I would’ve done different was not rubbing them in the soap so much because by doing that your adding a lot more makeup into your bowl of soap then you really need to just one quick dab into the soap and it should be good to wash love the video though super satisfying!! ❤️

I had a friend with acne. One day, I saw her make-up brushes and she said that she had never washed them before. I was truly shocked. Because whenever I used mine, I would wash them. She was putting and renewing the bacteria population on her skin that worsens her acnes. So, I washed all of the makeup brushes. It was actually funny to see her shocked face on the dirt coming out.
