Peach Beach has always been an awesome Mario Kart course. The music. The sounds of the ocean. Driving right next to the waves. But as always, watch out for those Cataquacks! This is an all out battle between Mario and Lakitu involving the most items in a 1 vs 1 video. This video features a few new highlights. The Super Horn, Mega Mushroom (Mario Mach 8 RC car), Cheep Cheep, Deep Cheep, Eep Cheep, Cheep Chomp, Blooper, Huckit Crab, Cataquacks, and even Birdo makes his first appearance. The feature I most like is the Underwater shot. There is just something so AWESOME about filming with a GoPro underwater.
This video is our version of Peach Beach that I filmed on a couple of vacations we went on this year. I first started filming in Jensen Beach Florida in February when my family and I went on a couples retreat there. I'll never forget all of the bites I got from the "no see-ums" on the beach. I also am a horrible swimmer with the lung capacity that lasts me no more than 10 seconds in the water, so filming the underwater portion of this video was definitely a new challenge for me.
The remainder of the video was filmed in Oregon, mostly in Pacific City, but a little snippet was filmed in front of the Heceta Head lighthouse, where I proposed to my wife 17 years ago. Pacific City is such an awesome place to vacation to. There is always good shells after high tide, the water is cold enough to get your feet wet, but too cold to swim in...which is fine with me. There also is a massive sand dune called Cape Kiwanda Sand Dune. I actually filmed quite a bit at the very top of this sand dune!
