I ran into one of these birds outside of my neighborhood up here in Georgetown, TX. I went on a deep dive after identifying it. They are beautiful birds. I’ve never seen the Caracara after our initial engagement.
Georgetown is great area for them. My wife and I used to live out there off of 29 west of Georgetown for a long time (before "they" moved out there) and we had seen several of them out that direction. They generally seem to like more woody habitat but they certainly don't seem to mind a little time in the suburbs, either lol. Thanks again for all of your support!
There’s a lot of Cara Caras in south Texas. You can see them around Laredo, Eagle Pass, Dimmit County, La Salle… They’re smart enough to walk off the pavement when they see a car/truck approach just by walking a couple of steps instead of flaying off, saving energy in the process, then go back to feed off whatever they were eating before.
Great video sir
Thanks, man! Thank you for all of your support, Friend!

Absolutely! I see them a lot off out there in the brush. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! I appreciate your support!
It's 2:30 am, you're in the parking lot at your local Whataburger, the power goes out, and this guy shows up behind you, what do you do?
You get out of my way so I can order and then thank me for not having to move you out of the way :)
Hi Matt😊
Hey there my good friend! Hope you are well!
