I have one and like it. Things to consider is : RGB modes can't be changed as stated in manual. You can't lay down with this. Do not put it on a head stand. The Velcro on the back cushions will come unstuck and this releases the top head strap. So your quest will drop
Another minor inconvenience is that you cant’t turn the battery off. You’d have to unplug the USB C every time and that might compromise the port in the long run.
I just noticed the loose velcro on the back. I'd like to suggest a pretty good fix for this:- You will notice just above that velcro, a small slot on the white plasitc, but the strap doesn't fit through it. If you cut two equal strips about 5mm in from each side at the end of the strap, up to the padded area, it will then fit through the back of this slot and reconnect to the velcro. This will now stop the velcro from pulling away from the plastic. I can provide photos if unsure. ;)
@jaytb6458 Well, it's only a concern if you intend on depleting the Quest's battery each time to protect its longevity, but I'll always have a battery plugged in and running from 100% anyway.
how do you turn on the color effect? mine shows the green / charging status but i don't seem to have the colorful leds light up. overall i like it though.
interesting this same headset is called the Kronos VR elite battery head strap for quest 3. in Australia :D different name for the same product in every country lol.
I received mine today and I absolutely love it..... BUT, there is one issue that can be slightly annoying. Unless you have the ratchet on the back super tight and the interface welded against your face, you will find that rotating your head left to right quickly is an issue. If it is too loose, the weight of the battery and headset causes the whole rig to try and swing away from your face... It doesn't by the way!, but it feels like it could. This strap is a no-brainer though. It's a really well made unit for the price and I'd pay that alone just for the huge 8000mAh of extra power and the 4 extra hrs of game time.
Looks great when compared to the Bobovr m3 pro is out of stock for a month or more, the Binbok has trouble with its head adjustment mechanism according to Amazon FB....Too bad its not on some sort of BF sale 😞
Hi great video. After watching your review of this headset battery strap I too bought one and love it. I do have just one query. With the usbc connected to the quest is their a way to turn off the external battery as the green light stays illuminated when not in use. Thanks for your findings/experience
If you can reach out to them for feedback, I would love it if they adapted their newer audio solution headstrap to be more universal like the discontinued Kiwi Design clip-on headphones.
yes it does. The more graphics intensive game it is, the slower the percentage goes up. The only issue I have with it, is the top strap. it isn't connected directly to the plastic back support. It is connected to the padding. If you have pressure on the top strap, it will slowly pull the back padding off.
Got my meta quest 3 and have ordered this battery headstrap to add comfort and extending my playtime. seems really nicely made and the price is unbeatable.
Thank-you Sabastian for this option. So far it looks like another choice IMO other than Bobo VR M3 Pro. The Bobo VR M3 Pro is sold out but I could you can still buy directly from their website which can take maybe 1.5 weeks to get it since it's in China. From "QUEST 3 ELITE STRAP WITH BATTERY ALTERNATIVE" video you get 4 hours extra from the 800mA battery. The drawback, you need to charge it again but you can also plug in the A/C adapter to the Quest3 and another A/C adapter to the head strap's battery while you sit and charge up with 2 adapters and then you can unplug and start using it again wirelessly after both are charged up.
My M3 took about 3 weeks to get to me, so keep that in mind. It's absolutely worth it though, and noticeably more comfortable than the M2 with the new back pad
But its a copy paste of the m2. It doesnt even fit the quest 3 correctly it scratches up the paint and the battery only has like 40 minutes on a high demand game because they havent been upgraded. @@Jdb63
Thanks Sebastian. I've ordered one after watching your review. The only concern is it has bad feedbacks on Amazon. Some people complain about the battery
Problem is...that battery is not enough power to last long. Currently there is only the Elite strap with battery that has the correct battery power. Thats why all of the otheres including Bobo ones still all drain way too fast.
Comparing to bobo vr, it is worth mentioning how much such a set costs with 2 batteries, because it is much more expensive and 2 batteries in booboo are only 2200mha.
Mine won’t charge. It’s plugged in over night. The green ring is fully lit. I go into meta and says headset not charged and powers down. What is happening?
I reaaly don't understand the rgb lights on such devices, in no way, while you're playing, can you see it, the whole external light thing feels pointless.
Plug in a fast charging power bank (from your pocket) to the strap while playing and no doubt you could extend that 4-6 hours even further... Thanks for the recommendation, got one on eBay for £36.99, they seem to be about the same price if bought from China
Getting mixed reviews with this one. Main problem is the head strap itself and the tightening mechanism not holding it you pull on the front of the unit. I'm going to have to pass with this one.
Can't please everyone. I'm good with it though. Pass through needs improvement. And better battery life. But all these types of things suck with battery life at the moment. With a good battery pack, it beats all the wired installations unless your super picky about graphics.

would you recommend this one over the bobovr?
how do you turn on the color effect? mine shows the green / charging status but i don't seem to have the colorful leds light up. overall i like it though.
Does it change colors?
İ heard that the charging port of the quest vr headsets could burn because to mutch charging power or something. İt is this the case or it is safe?
How does it compare to the Kiwi 6400mah battery strap you just reviewed, at least in terms of the charge while playing performance?
But how long does it take to fully charge it again
Please review the Aubika elite style battery strap also. It’s great and also has an 8000mAh battery and charges the headset up whilst playing too.
What is the weight of the strap?
can i charge this with a dock
Hi Sebastian , Thanks for this review, great as always, Can we plug the link for PCVR of this product ?
Nope, you still gotta plug link cable into Quest! So this is more for wireless!
interesting this same headset is called the Kronos VR elite battery head strap for quest 3. in Australia :D different name for the same product in every country lol.

Unfortunately you can't!
Okay no big issue I can disconnect when not using. Still great value and gives hours more play time.
If you can reach out to them for feedback, I would love it if they adapted their newer audio solution headstrap to be more universal like the discontinued Kiwi Design clip-on headphones.
I bought one after using the battery one time it didn’t work again yea it was surprisingly long the battery life but it didn’t work again
Great headstrap
hows charging? does it maintain battery quest when pluged in? or quest draining faster than charging
on mine quest drains quicker than charging

How are you getting on with it
Hello! Did you find it comfortable?
How do you charge the battery pack?
there's a USB port on the bottom of the pack

The one i got from nordquest vr is literally the same one
Difference with Nordquest for Meta 3?
Looks exactly the same.
does it support data link to PC if u put in USB C cable it the straps port?
I don't think it does. I haven't heard any reviewers mention that feature. Wondered this myself though.
I found one on eBay with headphones. $80 hopefully they sound good
I love mine
Thanks Sebastian. I've ordered one after watching your review. The only concern is it has bad feedbacks on Amazon. Some people complain about the battery
They have no comparison. I have them all. They all don't have enough watt to really charge the Quest 3. But this will give you 4 more hours.
Problem is...that battery is not enough power to last long.
Currently there is only the Elite strap with battery that has the correct battery power.
Thats why all of the otheres including Bobo ones still all drain way too fast.
Just ordered one. Hopefully it's good. The quest 3 spends more time charging than actually playing...
Comparing to bobo vr, it is worth mentioning how much such a set costs with 2 batteries, because it is much more expensive and 2 batteries in booboo are only 2200mha.
a third party product that is so much better than the elite strap with battery and it costs a quarter of the price, amazing!!
RGB which you can't see but it drains your battery.
GENIUS!
To be fair, rgb leds don't really use power. It's crazy how efficient they are. If you removed those lights you'd get 1 minute more playtime.
According to Sebastian, it can be turned off if its a concern
Exactly
How else will other people know you’re a gamer?!
It's for your family to see you. ;)

Can you make a video titled "5 Reasons to Ditch Your Pico 4 and Embrace the Quest 3" ?😁Just joking
34$ on aliexpress with free shipping
Plug in a fast charging power bank (from your pocket) to the strap while playing and no doubt you could extend that 4-6 hours even further...
Thanks for the recommendation, got one on eBay for £36.99, they seem to be about the same price if bought from China
if they sold this battery without the strap or some hot swappable version add oe battery that works like the bobo, I'd be all over it.
Agree. I'm looking for a good swappable one or possible a belt pack.
Nord quest made the first one
no they just bought it from aliexpress and sold it for much more lol. This headstrap is from China somewhere. But it still works fine!
❤
Getting mixed reviews with this one. Main problem is the head strap itself and the tightening mechanism not holding it you pull on the front of the unit.
I'm going to have to pass with this one.
£27 on Aliexpress.
RGB on the rear, is such a useless and cringy feature.
True! But it's fun !
U can always keep it off
@@xportnl5354 or you can buy a product that's not garbage.
Just drains the battery faster for no reason lol they could of made it more affordable by excluding led
or turn the leds off, simple.@@farmageddon2978
Never ever getting a Quest 3. Already got Lynx R1 on the way. Never buying Meta ever again. Regretted the first time
What happened that was so bad you swore off of Meta?
What will you use Lynx for?
Can't please everyone. I'm good with it though. Pass through needs improvement. And better battery life. But all these types of things suck with battery life at the moment.
With a good battery pack, it beats all the wired installations unless your super picky about graphics.
