Wonderful day for Alaskan Gus Schumacher. In 1983 the World Cup came to Anchorage, Alaska. I was lucky enough to be the first starter that day and can still feel the crowd pulling me through. Though not a win.

Amazing! So great to see the success for Gus after so much work - and for the whole USA team!

Please release the full video coverage from the races this weekend in Minneapolis. These were historic races and represent major growth opportunity for FIS in the US market. The tv coverage in the US was a complete and total miss and it is a travesty that I can’t return home from spectating these races and relive them by watching full coverage on demand, let alone share it with people who were not there or aware of the historic nature of the event let alone the results!! If you have any intent to bring this sport out of the tailspin that it’s in, please do better!!!!

NBC is the one with the TV rights here; FIS can’t release that in the US. But NBC dropped the ball by not showing anything live; and merely recapping the men’s 10 km.

We signed up for Peacock just to stream these races. The coverage was pitiful!!

They always release all the full races in this channel. Just go to the “live” tab and you’ll see all the races!

@@RodrigoRangel1Yeah, no world cup races show up there in the US (at least not without a VPN).

Still feels surreal to see the world's best throwing down where I first learned to ski...

Nice to see the Norsemen be beaten for once! Great work, Gus!!! And so fantastic to see Jonna back on top of the podium!!! So well deserved. She eats her heart out every time, but never makes a fuzz about it, and seems a bit uncomfortable about all the commotion, haha. Jonna Sundling is my true favorite. Congrats to both of you, Gus and Jonna! Unfortunately Linn Svahn had a small crash, but honestly, I don't think it made any difference of the result.

Äntligen! Flera nationer som satsar på skidåkningen. GRATTIS till Gus och Jonna. Från ett snöigt och mycket kallt norra Sverige.
