Idk everyone's bashing this saying he's not as desperate/ rugged as others who've played roger, but I think he's adding another aspect to roger's personality in this. He just seems scared here. Scared either that he's gonna die or that he's gonna be forgotten n not do anything with his life. Idk I like it
I agree i think every Roger i have seen adds something different. Adam Pascal obviously being the original gave the platform. Will Chase was more angry and tortured by everything that happens to him. Aaron adds more or a fearful element to the character. Personally the three mentioned have done an amazing job.
He's got a great voice and I love the way he sings this song, but is no one gonna comment on how great his ass is in those pants? The costume department knew what they were doing, obviously.
Gah, this is amazing. I love Aaron so much, he doesn't have the usual rocker rasp that most Rogers have, but the understated tenderness, confusion, and lost soul he adds to the character is heart breakingly beautiful. You can tell how much this song means to him when he sings it.
How on earth could a more perfect human being exist?!?! I was a bit skeptical before I clicked on this because I wasn't sure how Aaron's voice would sound with this particular song. But man did he slay!!! 2 thumbs up...and that booty in those plaid leggings! Those arms in that muscle shirt!
I'm tired of people saying how much better another actor is at playing certain roles. Obviously, the director wanted the cast he got and it worked. Neil Patrick Harris hand picked everyone for this (Including Vanessa Anne Hudgens) and he got everyone he wanted. I think he knows what he's doing. If you don't want to watch this version, go elsewhere and stop belittling the work these fabulous actors are doing by comparing apples to oranges.
Idk man, I really like Aaron, I'm an extremly big Aaron Tveit fan, but his voice is too clean for this song to me. However, his emotion really shines, he's the only one who's actually made me realize what the song is about and how Roger feels.
here's my thing though- angel just gave him a whole bunch of money. oh, roger. it's cool if you don't want to go, but "zoom in on my empty wallet" isn't a good excuse to use HAHA
yeaaaahh, not the best casting for roger. tveit is good, dont get me wrong, but hes better at roles like fiyero and link rather than one like roger. he's playing it like roger has no problems and everything is fine. idk, the words and songs feel sort of empty
i'm sorry but as great as he is in les mis, this performance isn't great. yes ill give it to him the guy can sing but he really doesn't understand the character. when he stands up and he does all those diva hand gestures i just really reallu un attached to his character. roger is not like that
All I want for the rest of my life is to watch Aaron Tveit angstily play the guitar in a muscle shirt. Damn.
AMEN.
God bless America! and AMEN!!
Whoever casted those plaid pants knew what he was doing....
and that tank top...
cries because aaron has a perfect body, perfect face, and perfect vocal chords.

Skylar Astin AND Aaron Tveit together on the same stage?!?!?!?!!? I think I have died and gone to Heaven!

Thank God for the unsaid rule of theatre that they put Aaron in tight pants... I worship whomever started that trend.

I really like that he took the song and made it his own. His voice is great. Not typical Roger, but it's still amazing.
Aaron is the biggest up and coming male star on Broadway, he was amazing in Catch Me If You Can and Next to Normal.
AMAZING! I absolutely love the way he sang this song
I love the way Aaron says every word, I just love him in general ;)
I loved Adam Pascal when I saw him in '97 in NY but Aaron has won me over.

I think I love you, SkylarAstinFan. You do make me unrealistically happy with these videos.
Aaron tviet 😍💕
Flawless human being.
I'm torn. I love love Will Chase's version, but I just love Aaron so much! He's incredible!
Am I the only one who loves the way Aaron says "who"?
I really loved Aaron's version of One Song Glory!
I really loved the cast's version of the charcters
Isn't the dark-haired guy the one who played Jesse in Pitch Perfect?
Megan Wooldridge yep
@lily8394 Why are you NOT in love with this dude?
In my opinion Aaron does this song best out of all the Rogers
+Emma Mueller Not better than Adam Pascal, but a very strong performance. Great soaring vocals that build.
rx55 personally i wasn't a huge fan of adam pascal's version (but i just saw the movie version so i probably shouldn't judge it) but he was great
+Emma Mueller
Adam Pascal is the ORIGINAL Roger, listen to the Original Cast Recording.
not gay but he is unreal
Why is every one so in love with this dude?????????
he did
here's my thing though- angel just gave him a whole bunch of money. oh, roger. it's cool if you don't want to go, but "zoom in on my empty wallet" isn't a good excuse to use HAHA
Today 4 U happens after this though....
yup
OK, why is the recording I have on my phone of this song Adam Pascal and not Aaron Tveit? I would much rather listen to this everyday
Dear god, the scruff.
Is it me, or is this waaaayyy too slow?
TOO MUCHHHH!!!!!!!
*he DID ;)
What?
the fit is awesome, but the plaid bothers me.
Why? Roger's plaid pants are iconic, like Mark's colorblock sweater and Mimi's blue leggings.
Aaron Tveit marry me
yeaaaahh, not the best casting for roger. tveit is good, dont get me wrong, but hes better at roles like fiyero and link rather than one like roger. he's playing it like roger has no problems and everything is fine.
