Both amazingly charming episodic series in their own right. Definitely preferred the good feel vibes this had over the darker depressiveness of Bebop, but I'm in love with the space cowboy aesthetic.

Always thought the credits sequence for the final episode was absolutely gorgeous. Still go back just to watch those environmental shots now and again. This and Cowboy Bebop truly made up a massive chunk of my teens.
This show has been a favorite of mine for 5 years now and It really warms my heart to see it get the love it desrves.
This and Afro Samurai are some of my favorite shounen and seinen anime

Shinichiro Watanabe woke up oneday and thought about combining samurais with hip-hop and space cowboys with jazz. Both concept turned out to be absolute masterpieces
This anime is one of the most aesthically pleasing one.
Most of the time, people doenn't seem to notice that subtle difference in the drawing lines or color shading but that anime and some others from that time had a more inspired artistry than today's ones.
It was described in many ways, but for me it has always been an anime about lonely people.

I rewatched this anime recently...Absolutely beautiful! Shin'ichirō Watanabe GENIUS! A special memory to Nujabes for his incredible soundtrack!

Remember staying up late during middle school watching this show when adult swim was airing it. I love that this anime is still getting the love it deserves years after it was made.

For me, the best anime of all, the director/creator of Cowboy Bebop, for me, is the equivalent of Vince Giligan in anime, the guy knows how to dominate the media like few others. Music, composition, use of colors, sound he and his team only make anime throwing stones in this industry.
