Neymar is one of the best football players I’ve ever seen.. if not the best, his journey was long and most importantly.. it was successful. But yesterday, Brazil lost in the quarter-half of 2022 world cup, it was heartbreaking, everyone cried, including Neymar and his colleagues.. and from what he said last year, this is going to be his last world cup. I cried too bro. Never ever have a cried for a football match. Im not Brazilian but I love the Brazilian national team since I was a a 6 and 7 year old kid watching ronaldinho, Kaia, Adriano, Robinho. I just fell in love with the way they played and watching neymar come up as a 17 year old kid was amazing. Like my teen years I grew up watching him and watching him grow and the 2022 World Cup I felt like it was his time to let everyone know who he was. And after the first game seeing how they were deliberately kicking him and tackling hard as shit for no reason and seeing his ankle all fucked up at the end had me feeling a huge sense of sadness for him. Like if he’s plagued with bad luck but watching him rest and recover as much as he could for the group stages. Seeing how hard he played va Korea and then that game against Croatia. When he scored against croatia I was so happy bro like I was yelling cuz I couldn’t believe neymar came up so big. I was thinking Belgium 2.0 was happening 😭. And when he scored that feeling went away and I was like finally some respect is coming. And then at the end of overtime dumbass tite puts in fred who plays bad with Brazil and watching him yell at the team to go back and defend and the whole midfield including fresh legs fred didn’t come down and fred was the guy who lost the ball. That croatia goal broke my heart, I knew it was over. The atmosphere and confidence was ripped away from Brazil. And at the end of the shootouts watching him cry and Dani alves contemplating him was painful. He played so good for Croatia to win like that, after all the stuff they say about him and he came up big that game. Probably the most important game of his career and to have it stripped away from you like that is painful. So I cried a bit too cuz he deserves better from the Brazil national team. He needs another player to be a star alongside him so they can both take the team to the final. In all his career he’s never had another star with him in Brazil. Oscar, hulk, Douglas costa, were all busts. Those were the Gus who came out with him, which is crazy he’s the last one from that group with Thiago Silva to still be playing with the national team
I'm Brazilian, and it really was a difficult time for us. But after Brazil's defeat we came together to support Messi and our Argentinian brothers. Seeing them win was rewarding. Thank you for all the affection you have for the boy Neymar, and for the Brazilian national team
