I can watch these everyday with 100% of my attention. Super fun especially since we are basically the same age and grew up ripping the same stuff.
The MLB is so large that it's wild that so many people know someone attached to it or been in it. I grew up with a current pretty famous MLB umpire. I actually could text him right now if I needed. Just fun seeing people you use to hang with on TV all the time.

Yeah, the ‘89 Fleer is the f face. I just had one of mine graded and got a 9. Just sent in a couple black box versions. Fun trip down memory lane.

Major League - Eddie Harris. Big fan. Probably in the kayfabe MLB HOF now. He was based off of Gaylord Perry.
They should start including (protected) gum in packs again

The 87 Topps Jack Clark with the gum on the back had a different name on the back of the card, John Cangelosi.

A friend of mine had a pair of cleats worn by BJ Surhoff. The Brewers wives sold equipment in a charity auction and his sister bought them for him. The old names are a trip!

That looked like fun! I love opening up the old junk wax. I'll go buy those $5/$6 Fairfield repacks at Target or Walgreens. I definitely have better luck on the baseball vs the football. Recently I had a pack in the baseball of '90 Fleer pulled a Deion Sanders RC. Also have had packs of other 80s packs; '89 Score had a Bo Jackson. Football best pack I got was a '89 or '90 Pro Set otherwise I seem to get packs of '22, '23 Sage or Artistry. With baseball seems like the worst packs you can get are at least from the '80s of Star MiLB. Gaylord Perry would have been a Rookie in like '62 or '63. Ben Sheets was pretty good, 4x AS with the Brewers- 1st rnd 10th ovr in '99.

So I have a question about how you record your audio. Are you using a separate mic and compressing and cleaning it up? Or are you just recording raw? And if so how and what equipment are you using? @@westernnycards Nice! That keeps it simple. I use a DJI wireless that plugs into my camera. I used to compress and clean it up on Audacity. It was a lot of work.
For those of you who were not around for '87 Topps. It was either an article in Tuff Stuff or Beckett magazine that told us that every Jose Canseco would be worth $20,000 in 20 years. When I went through my cards three years ago, I had literally over 100 of Jose Canseco's '87 Topps card. Mysteriously, no one handed me that money. Look at the mustache on Larry McWilliams. I'll bet he plays jazz flute like a champ. Gaylord Perry is only 44 in that picture. WTF?!?! I'm 44. He looks old enough to be my dad.
