I must confess I have never been so drawn before to an accompaniment. The sotto voce, if I can say so, that you put into it, is amazing. My feeling is that the left hand accompanies the main theme in the right hand but it does it such that I couldn't help hearing it clearly and I was sort of hypnotized by that sound. This was very different and very pleasurably.
I am delighted with your dynamic shades! I especially liked the transition from piano to forte 3:34. And in general, the whole piece is good thanks to this (and not only, of course). Really a delight. Thanks!

@@PianoScoreVids You raise a good point, especially since a lot of composers like writing pieces bearing a title that has a meaning without actually modeling the piece after what the title actually is. To be honest, your interpretation is more beautiful than the faster interpretations I've heard, but I guess I just personally think it sounds like a nocturne or something with the weight on the 3rd beat as it is. I would have lingered on the 2nd beat more than the 3rd since that's typically the way that the dance is performed, and I would have taken the "verses" (in contrast to the refrain) a little faster to add a bit more contrast, but that's just how I interpret things when playing my instrument. Sorry if I seem like I'm negging your playing or something, because that's not it at all, just providing some perspectives on how I interpret things. (I'm an incorrigible formalist) I love how expressive your interpretation is. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
@@zariwawa thanks for constructive feedback. as i always say, the next day i might cringe over yesterday's upload and played it totally differently. don't know why, but it's always very much depending on my specific mood the moment i play everything
@@PianoScoreVids it's good to look back and see what we would have done differently-- we live to improve after all. keep up the good work, especially the contrast between dynamics and the wonderful crescendos and decrescendos. :)
@mister-epi I've been playing this piece since I was 13th and I have a recording on a disc, my playing was chosen because it was a little bit faster and with much more passion. I was Definitely bias in my comment 👻👻👻

Traumhafte Interpretation! Warm und elegant! Masterklass! Danke für wunderschöne Momente.🎄🎅

¡Viva México y el gran maestro Ponce! ❤️🇲🇽🎹
Que alegría: Ponce!!! Una interpretación fantástica! Gracias 🥰😍
Yes, finally Ponce! thank you.

Hermosa pieza Latinoamericana gracias por publicarla😊
Very sensitive and beautiful playing. Thank you very much for this one.
Absolutely delightful....
Felicidades, muchos intérpretes tocan está pieza como si fuera un estudio de virtuosismo y se pierde la absoluta belleza de estas notas. Gracias!! 😄

Suchhhh a gorgeous piece, and I weirdly haven’t heard much like it before.
Absolutely lovely! Thank you for this.
A charming piece wonderful played. Thanks!
I very very very very very ... LOVE it
Congratulations and excellent interpretation. Sometimes it is played too fast. Ponce has some lovely compositions which are well worth investigating.
Rather dreamy. The sound is Garritan CFX, isn't it?
3:22 매우 흥미로운 구간 시작
Beautifully played
Do you mind sharing the sheet music?
Seguramente se consigue en IMSLP Library.
Even better that his birthday was just a couple of days ago

Very pretty, but a gavotte generally is quite faster, isn't it? Either way, good job.
In my opinion this isn't 'really' a gavotte. There is a difference between actual gavottes and romanticized ideas of a gavotte.

Nice playing but too slow
Too slow, need more passion
I completely disagree, the speed it's absolutely perfect, this should not be an etude, it's a charming romantic piece and I love this interpretation 😊
