Can you talk about getting a permanent residency after a ‘CONTINUOUS’ temporary residency. I can’t find where you’ve ever addressed this complex topic. Does ‘continuous’ mean you cannot leave the country for 2 or 5 years without penalty? Let’s say that you’re out of the country for two or three months in a year do you have to make up that time in order to apply for permanent residency down the road?
Hey Jan, I want to ask if it is possible for them to renew my temporary residency visa? Because I am here now in Philippines for 2yrs now. I was married with Czech and I lived there from 2019- 2022. He died 2021 so , I went home cause I can't stand the pain. But now I want to come back but my temporary residency is valid until 7.10.2024. My question is, is it possible to extend that kind of visa or renew? Or there is possibility that they will reject me cause husband died already. I keep on searching in the website but can't find enough answers. Maybe you have idea. Thanks advance.
Hi jan, I recently applied for temporary residency visa but they said it might get rejected because i have international protection proceeding. And now i cancel my asylum hoping i still can get TRP.
Great video. A question regarding insurance: My wife is Czech/Australian. I'm Australian. We will be applying for the TRP. Will I always need PVZP, or, once approved, would I get VZP like a citizen? I'm just wondering whether I should apply for one year PVZP initially, or more, or less.
Thank you for the comment :) You can only get the public coverage if you get the permanent residence permit (after two years of temporary) or when you get employed locally. Otherwise stuck with pVZP until the monopoly is canceled 🤷

Hi Jan, We would like to ask if we can apply for a temporary visa permit this July if the contract of our accommodation starts on September 2023?. However, we are already in Czech Republic staying at our friend’s house and then will transfer to our rented place this September. (Eu citizen with Non-EU spouse).
Hey! Well, I do not see it plausible: A) You must provide accommodation proof when submitting your application. B) Foreign Police will come to your home to check if you really live together, if you are a real couple. It could for sure create more problems than just applyig when you move to the new one (as long as you are still legal at that point).
Well, technically yes, if you also have the status of long-term resident of the EU. But there are limitations there so you might still need to get some permit on the receiving side.
Hi Jan, good day! How are you? My name is Mary from Philippines. My bf is from Czech republic, we have son his 6 years old now. My son have Czech and Philippines passport already. In theory yes but it depends on if you are close (spouse) or distant (just dating) family member. If close, the visa type does not matter. If distant, you can only apply if you got a special type of visa.
@@rushwithdanteIf you are not married you would need to get a visa to visit an EU family member. If you do not get this one, they will deny your application later.
