    Bravo to both players for quality tennis. Zheng deserves credit for getting a set from Saba which she was never able to do before. Zheng really raised her level better than ever before against Saba and even though it wasn't enough she played the best she could. On hardcourt there's not many that can challenge Saba. Well done Zheng. 👏🏻

    Great match, and I have to say, what an awesome crowd! So much noise and engagement, and the crowd COULD have been heavily for Qinwen and against Aryna, but they were pretty fair for both I thought. Excellent crowd, and really added to the atmosphere of the match.

      She is boring and all she does is destroy the interest of women's tennis. She is only good at 2 things, making loud vocal noice and hitting the boll hard. Unfortunately that is good enough right now to win tennis matches. I hope her competitors will find a way to eliminate her soon.

    Heartbroken, Zheng came so close, but to beat a Women like Aryna you need a least 60% of your 1st serves in, Zheng only had 42% in, to me that's what cost her the match! Queen will get better maybe look for a better coach to help with her 1st serves.

    Sabalenka would've automatically become a year-end no. 1 WTA player if she hadn't lost to Muchova in QF and had reached at least the final last week! By such situation, Sabalenka has to win all of 3 rounds in WTA Finals so she gets 750 - 625 = 125 points to secure her year-end no. 1 position cuz Swiatek has to defend 1,500 points

  • @s.scottsdale1839
    @s.scottsdale1839 8 часов назад +4

    Tremendous match. Zheng looks like she'll be a very tough out for many years to come. So solid in most all facets of the game. But right now Sabalenka is top of the mountain. No one else on the WTA tour is playing quite at her level consistently. She'll likely end the year at #1 unless Swiatek is better at the ETA Finals.

    • @jonfreeman9682
      @jonfreeman9682 8 часов назад +2

      Zheng really played great and isn't too far off from Li Na but Li Na still a bit better. Zheng should hire Li Na as coach to help her win Grand Slam. Zheng has enough power but tactical can be improved and add drop shots to stop all that power from Saba. Serve can improve a little bit to get more first serve points. Hardcourt is always tough against power players.

Qinwen was also good and courageous, she recovered after her usual start to the match, it is difficult to do better playing practically without a first serve, against Sabalenka it becomes a tough feat, leaving aside some naivety... unfortunately Qinwen in Ningbo will most likely find Muchova at her debut, who is also rested, another very difficult match.

    Worse than all that is the behavior and mentality of Zheng during and after the match.
    When she tried to save a ball, she almost bumped into a line boy who stood behind her and she shouted at him for obstructing her attempt to save the ball. I have seen other players faced with a similar situation and they simply acted rationally because the boys had a job to do and they were standing in positions that required them to be. Then during the on course interview, she again cited her health condition as one of the reasons for losing. She also used not enough sleep as a reason for losing after a previous match. Very bad excuses.
