I don't know what it is about this game..but it just seems really bland and soul-less. Maybe they need to create a better sense of speed, or fill the city with people/traffic/etc, add some obstacles, or some background music..just SOMETHING..can put my finger on what this game is missing..but..
There is just no reason to let go of it. You make it sound as if I am actively doing something there but for me it's just the default thing to do and I would need a reason to do otherwise.
I am a top leaderboard player in many racing games, so I am certainly not a noob. And again it's not even an active action like you describe it. I am on the gas before the jump and I am on the gas after I land, so staying on the gas in between is like doing nothing. It's not even something I think about. Letting go would be an active action but there is no point in doing that, so I don't.
When you make turns. It seems like it gets stuck and you can't counter steer out of it.. you have to let the joystick go and it straightens out on his own before you make the turn

Motocross is only one of 14 disciplines in the game and it's one of the more niche ones. I don't know why everyone is watching this particular video and not for example my high level car runs.
