Hey! I've recently had a case of briefly losing control over the car and sliding at about 10-20 mph on a narrow road that was commenced by making a sharp right turn at a faster acceleration, and as a result jumping over around 3-4 inch curb with left wheels. Consequences were mostly cosmetic, as I only scratched a tad of rims and at a quick inspection and driving by a tech nothing abnormal happened. However, what I'm noticing now is on Moscow highways and most other roads (whose highest point is at the center and lowest on left and right sides - much like a sphere) in the city the car tends to lean right if the wheel doesn't have my hands on it. On some roads the wheel is straight and on some the car leans left. I've started noticing these leans ever since I had summer tires put on - it's like where the road isn't really flat and a bit bumpy the car might lean in a certain direction. Ya every country seems to be different. The highest rated premium in my area is 94. I prefer Shell and 91 is more common. Also our Shell 91 and Chevron 94 contain no ethanol.
The 1 to 2 minutes idle is bullshit for every car. The oil gets into circulation after a few seconds, if you let it idle for 2 minutes, it is 2 minutes of the engine running with cold oil, start it, wait 5 seconds, drive below 2-3k depending on the car. The oil gets up to temperature faster, means the engine suffers less from cold oil.
A question! I have a 2006 350Z and as far as i know nothing has ever be done to the to hubs, wheel bearings or any type maintenance. I think there should be some attention paid here?
@@AnthonyJ350 no noise ! 86000. It runs great and there isn't anything going on but i thought with the age and mileage, it would be a good idea to check.

Really? Because oil takes longer to get to operating temperature than coolant. The extra 30 seconds to a minute and a half will help it reach it's operating viscosity. That plus driving it easy for the first bit
Anthony, I am in the process of ordering a replacement top for my 2006, 350Z. I have looked a several companies and have decided on the Convertible Top Guys. I have chosen the Haaretz Stayfast canvas. I was told by their rep that I would need a stapler to install this top. He said that I would need one for all tops.I have watch the only video that covers this on you tube and he didn’t use a stapler ? Also do you know if I will have to cut or trim any thing on this top ? Can you help me with this problem ?
I have an issue with my stereo. It has an eclipse avn30d and it stopped working and needs a map disk which I don't have. Any idea where to find a map disk and was it factory install or aftermarket. Thanks
Hi Anthony I just got my 350z and I noticed it's a bitch seeing where my right or passenger side tire/ the whole side especially when parking any tips?
I get it you want to keep your car pristine. but this is a bit excessive. you arent even talking about what not to do in a Z or G your are talking about it like its an average car. the door handle is understandable but parking? Lights? How close you are to a car in traffic. Starting to sound like a driver instructor and not a Car enthusiast. This should be a video for people who want to keep their car healthy. You specify Z's and G's, but most of the things you list to watch out for is for any sort of sports car.
AnthonyJ350 I really want to do demon eyes to my z but the videos on installs suck, people botching wiring an the lights working half as good as they were, I’ve watched your videos and you actually know what your doing so I was just curious.
Actually bruh the drivers door handle will fail way before the passangers because all the metal that ha dle is made from the latching mechanism is thin ass plastic, i broke mine at 60k miles and eveeyone will eventually need one, depends how much & how hard you open & close your doors ... how long have u even owned a Z 😂
QuickCarCare Ya but you know not to pull on it while you're unlocking it. It's known to prematurely fail if you pull on it the same time as it's unlocking.
MijitoFlex Why wouldn't you remote start from a long distance and unlock from a close distance? Or what if you forgot to lock it? You can LOCK from a long distance ;)
& u actually dont let the fuel get low so u dont suck water/alcohol & debris into your fuel filter & lines.. also keep your fuel between 25 & 75% so u can run your EVAP... I dont wanna knock u i understand your not a mechanic, but atleast be accurate bro :/
Is the statement about the fuel pump not accurate? If there's debris in the tank, when you fill it up it's probably going to be moved around and potentially sucked up is it not? I'd like you to elaborate on the evap system though, because noone talks about that.
I know you're trying to help. But having that kind of attitude thinking you're better than everyone, just doesn't help. I'm just saying try to be more constructive and try less to bring people DOWN to your level.
Ohhh this was the reason i ulset you, probably as well as the laughing emoji when i asked the length of ownership on your Z.. but i have a tendency to be an unfiltered smart ass, but i mean no harm i guess its just how i am. But i see where your coming from. But if youd like me to elaborate on the Evap system i would love to, but instead of me explaining every aspect of it then to hear someone say i googled it, why dont we go live so i can answer any question one might have of it, or maybe ill even post a vid even tho i dont usually post
Actually screw it i meam what do u want to know? All summed up as far as i said, 25-75% so your system can do an active 'pressure' test depending on the circumstances, which requires usually 15-20 minutes of highway driving. The vent valve closes during this test, just as the only other time it closes is while refueling, because the vapors are sent to the Charc canister & this is when it closes for vacuum, not pressure. So during engine operation the vapors stored are sent to the purge valve & burned off with the a/f mixture. (Depending on what system you have, Enhanced
Alexis Ugalde If you're at half just put 91 octane in. I'm a fan of Shell at the moment. You'll probably get better mileage on premium and it will help offset the higher price.
300hp?? Haha not from any v6 nissan unless it's a late model. Try 220 bud, in perfect condition at the factory measured from the crank when new.. your looking closer to 170-180 at the wheels.. and they are not by any means high compression lol.. but a for effort I guess
Read this article for the engine. The REVUP is listed over 10:1 which to me is entering high compression territory. www.engine-specs.net/nissan/vq35de.html
Here's a dyno video of my car hitting 279HP and 260TQ at the wheels with bolt ons. Also my exhaust has been revised since this video. ruclips.net/video/eC1-hE3PBf0/видео.html
Traffic is hard on the clutch. You're constantly slipping it in stop and go and generating a lot of heat. Also if you don't run a modified flex line for the slave you cook the hydraulic fluid because it's placement is so close to the exhaust.
@@_baller Depends on the clutch. An aggressive sport clutch will hate city driving vs an OEM one. City driving is technically harder on the clutch than highway driving.
AnthonyJ350 it's not hard on the clutch at all lol, and a race series clutch will just click on and off but it won't burn it up lol, you've been misinformed
A couple things you forgot to mention: Like, when you are swinging a huge bag of rocks, make sure you're pointing away from the windshield before you let go of the huge bag of rocks. And when you're walking around with a pocket full of razor blades, you should move them to your front pocket before sitting down so you don't damage the car seat. Other than that, you covered every possible thing you should NOT do.
@@themanthelegend7048 What about the cable system in the door handle that's notorious for breaking when people pull on it while you unlock it? Don't some vehicles use a rod system? Wait you're a mechanic so you're not familiar with interiors...
@@themanthelegend7048 So you're bashing me for common bad habits people may form? Is it because if they're aware of these concepts people won't go to mechanics as often?

@@AnthonyJ350 Q: I have an 07 v6 sp altima... 216k, had to get engine replaced (cause I beat the shit out of it), changed radiator, alternator, and some other stuff. I found a 2007 hr 350z with 62k for $14,000. Is it a good deal? Do they also have master and slave sylinder clutch problems like I had on my car? Would love to hear your advice thanks
Hey Jonathan, thanks for the comment! If that car is really clean that would be on par with my area (I'm in Canada and after conversion it's a little higher). The car would have to be relatively stock and super clean. Yes the HR can potentially have the same clutch issue (Nissan seem to be bad for hydraulics) as the slave is internal for 2007+ cars and difficult to change. Z1 has a retro fit kit that puts it outside, so when you change the clutch I would recommend installing this kit making the slave external. Now there is a product you can install so you don't wear out the slave or master nearly as much and gives you a proper clutch pedal feel, watch this video: ruclips.net/video/E5cpYiVZNRI/видео.html
The quickest way to warm an engine up is to drive the car, on starting once the oil pressure is up it's ready to go. This 'warm up before driving' advice is out dated and does not apply to any modern engine. By all means wait until it warms up before using maximum performance but otherwise, start and go.
Anthony you have a lot of good information in your videos. I would add that while sitting in stop and go traffic, shift into neutral as not to put more wear and tear on the throwout bearing holding the clutch pedal down. If your struts no longer hold up the hatch in cold weather just get some new ones from Z1 ya cheapskates. The oil pressure jumps up very quickly even on cold starts but what do you do after an oil change and it takes a few seconds for the filter to fill before seeing any pressure?
Richard Knight Good points. I'm going to make another video like this just for driving Based on people's comments. When I do an oil change I fill the filter up with oil and rotate it so the filter is saturated with oil to minimize a dry start.
Whenever I have a girl in my Z I always open and close the door for her. They always say aww, you're so sweet, and I say no you dirty bitch I don't want you breakin my door handle...ssmmmfff
Funny story, I was warming up my car and setting stuff up in my car. Some person was waiting for my spot, so just before the rpm reaching 1k. The old lady just gets out of the car and starts flipping out. Needless to say, I said "walk away or I'm calling the police." Someone can't wait 2 minutes I guess
did u ever get your 350z and how much was it because i’m planning on getting one and the cheapest i can find in my area is 12000 because prices all have gone up
Dont slam the doors as this messes up the door handles too.... and prob even windows motors... so common.. good video , dont know why ppl complaining about common shi ... then when one goes and asks on a group or forum they get shi for not looking it up elsewhere online.
I read the comments BEFORE watching. Reason being is that I was pretty sure this was gonna be a DUH 🙄 video, however dude, it was alright man👍🏼 Yes there were some “common sense” segments, but you addressed each segment very well. And your Z is real clean dude. You probably know this, but for those who don’t, if you hold the unlock button on your remote for a few seconds, the windows roll down. And if you put your key 🔑 in the drivers side door, and turn it to the right, your windows will roll up. Nice vid dude 👍🏼
Wow thanks. One issue with mine is that the driver side window is giving out (rolls back down) which people say basically means you need it replaced soon and not just reset, the car clicks on the inside and doesn't roll the windows down. But it rolls up! And then back down on the driver side 🤦🏻♂️
What's up AJ! I was gonna add to always press the brake full stop before reversing and moving forward and not while the car is rolling. One guy I know is having issues with that on his Z. Won't engage at times. Grindage and cringe 😖😳
I've always been curious about that problem with the interior fading on 350s mine looks probably as close as it can to the day it rolled out the factory go figure lol guess I got lucky
Mord Fustang I don't know if this applies to the 350z but I Kno alot of the newer Chevy's and Cadillac interior and components you can not use armor all because of the alcohol eats the color of the plastic and most numb nuts don't read the manual and they armor all the interior then it sits in the sun all day and pretty much gets cooked.. few days go by and the brand new interior looks 37 years old and the owner doesn't know what the hell happened.. I don't know what they started putting in the plastic of the cars in the mid 2000's but most of them can only be cleaned with a rag lightly dampened with water only
Thank you for making this video 🙏🏼 I’m currently saving up for a 350z and I had no idea about some of the things you said 🙌🏼 I appreciate it 🔥

What's the highest mileage vehicle you own?
A question!
I have a 2006 350Z and as far as i know nothing has ever be done to the to hubs, wheel bearings or any type maintenance.
I think there should be some attention paid here?
Are they making a noise while you drive or click in the rear at slow speed? What's the mileage of the vehicle?
@@AnthonyJ350 no noise ! 86000.
It runs great and there isn't anything going on but i thought with the age and mileage, it would be a good idea to check.
@@charlesbeane807 You can definitely check for play. Z1 has the 370Z upgrade kit which gives you much stronger parts that are OEM. I plan to do this eventually www.z1motorsports.com/rear-hub-and-spindle/z1-motorsports/350z-g35-rear-axle-and-wheel-bearing-upgrade-kit-p-15444.html

These are my wheels. Z1 Motorsports also came out with a new wheel that's similar ruclips.net/video/x9XLGAojw6w/видео.html
2 minutes is way too long, 15 to 30 seconds is plenty for oil to circulate around the engine. 45 seconds is reasonable for cold weather.
I would listen to what they have to say on the top. The convertible I know very little about and don't really have any answers for them.
I have an issue with my stereo. It has an eclipse avn30d and it stopped working and needs a map disk which I don't have. Any idea where to find a map disk and was it factory install or aftermarket. Thanks
I would go aftermarket

Duck Beak 1993 Camry
I get it you want to keep your car pristine. but this is a bit excessive. you arent even talking about what not to do in a Z or G your are talking about it like its an average car. the door handle is understandable but parking? Lights? How close you are to a car in traffic. Starting to sound like a driver instructor and not a Car enthusiast. This should be a video for people who want to keep their car healthy.
You specify Z's and G's, but most of the things you list to watch out for is for any sort of sports car.
Thanks for the feedback. We will not be changing anything.

Why do you guys call it a "ZED" ?! 🤔
Cause I'm Canadian and that's how we pronounce the letter.
Can you do a demon eye install?
Steven Beatty Not sure, have never done one yet.
AnthonyJ350 I really want to do demon eyes to my z but the videos on installs suck, people botching wiring an the lights working half as good as they were, I’ve watched your videos and you actually know what your doing so I was just curious.

Bruh this guy is like an owners manual. Check your oil once a week on a stock car? So much excessive info.

What happens if I don’t use premium gas? I use the lowest in a HR
You'll lose horsepower and probably run into detonation which can damage the motor over time.
So is it fine to switch back to premium? Do I have to empty it out first?
High compression engines, like your HR were designed and tuned to run on 91 octane typically
Alexis Ugalde If you're at half just put 91 octane in. I'm a fan of Shell at the moment. You'll probably get better mileage on premium and it will help offset the higher price.
AnthonyJ350 Alright, Thanks

Hard on clutch from traffic? 🤣🤣🤣
Traffic is hard on the clutch. You're constantly slipping it in stop and go and generating a lot of heat. Also if you don't run a modified flex line for the slave you cook the hydraulic fluid because it's placement is so close to the exhaust.
AnthonyJ350 lol nonsense, maybe if you suck at driving stick you'll cook the clutch otherwise no
@@_baller Depends on the clutch. An aggressive sport clutch will hate city driving vs an OEM one. City driving is technically harder on the clutch than highway driving.
AnthonyJ350 it's not hard on the clutch at all lol, and a race series clutch will just click on and off but it won't burn it up lol, you've been misinformed

In Canada the price is per litre, not gallons.
2.99 for me
I'm in Canada so it's per litre. Trust me, I pay more for fuel in Vancouver than anywhere else in North America.
A couple things you forgot to mention:
Like, when you are swinging a huge bag of rocks, make sure you're pointing away from the windshield before you let go of the huge bag of rocks.
And when you're walking around with a pocket full of razor blades, you should move them to your front pocket before sitting down so you don't damage the car seat.
Other than that, you covered every possible thing you should NOT do.
I totally forgot about the rocks and razor blades!!! Thank you for reminding me.

Time Laps This Ya that's the trade off with older vehicles. But the advantage is you can put in higher quality parts.

R Greenup I'm actually referring to the oil, not waiting for the temp gauge for the coolant. 30 seconds to a minute.
@@AnthonyJ350 so you really think it takes oil 60 seconds to reach every part of the engine after a cold start. ? Try like 10 seconds.
@@bertr286 I'm putting some heat into the engine components and oil. That's why I wait the minute

I don't know if this applies to the 350z but I Kno alot of the newer Chevy's and Cadillac interior and components you can not use armor all because of the alcohol eats the color of the plastic and most numb nuts don't read the manual and they armor all the interior then it sits in the sun all day and pretty much gets cooked.. few days go by and the brand new interior looks 37 years old and the owner doesn't know what the hell happened.. I don't know what they started putting in the plastic of the cars in the mid 2000's but most of them can only be cleaned with a rag lightly dampened with water only
