Yeah True they should be here. But on second thought, they create design language for so many other brands, I think they deserve there own video. Thanks for subscribing :)
Loved the content! I am new to design and am trying to gain different perspectives and movements on design. This video kept me hooked till the end and I definitely learned something.
Great video, a lovely condensed history of Rams' time at Braun and the impacts thereof. I'd love to see your take on designers like Giorgetto Giugiaro or Eames. Subscribed!
Thanks, I talked briefly about Giugiaro in the " evolution of cars" video, But i think it makes sense to make some dedicated videos about some iconic designers. Thanks for the suggestion.
Great video brother, lets keep them coming for more product design breakdowns and analysis, I was shocked seeing the quality of the content to the number of subscribers, as many mentioned on the comments you have a very long way to go cheers and you have earned an subscriber. All the best.

For the calculator app, what is shown in the video is the updated version of the app, while the first version had much more resemblance with the ET66. It was so much influenced that the round buttons had the same black and brown combo, along with the white reflection on corners which gives it 3D effect (which was in 2007 the design language for most digital products)
That's true, Thanks for noticing and pointing it out. For other people's reference, this is a photo of Braun ET66 - iphone calculator 2007- iphone calculator now : bit.ly/4dbIktR
That's an interesting question but if you are thinking about product design after graduating from architecture, I can give you my take on the outputs of both options ( what kind of products you will design in both cases), So both Architecture and Product Design graduates can design products, but most of the products by architects are furniture, lighting and other home accessories ( most of them being a piece of art). On the other hand if you go down the path of a full time product designer, Its more likely that you will create functional and consumer focused products which will depend a lot on mateirals, usability, engineering, mass manufacturing etc. (Ofcourse there are people who are outliers in both field ) So You can choose based on what kind of products you want to design.
Beautiful video with perfect observations, thx for creating ....me too passionate abt designs, simplicity n minimalism. I believes simplicity n minimalism has to b inevitable in design. I realised my passion vry late in life:( How cud i learn basics of design ?? If u cud help?
In my opinion these simple designs are boring and uninspiring. And I hate the whole world is moving in this direction. Earlier there was a character to everything, now it all looks same & depressing. I actually prefer the designs of Braun's appliances before & after Rams, they look so innovative, agronomical and unique in every way.
Yeah there is a thin line between making products simple and making them boring. But still for every product there are companies with different design languages. and also That's the whole reason user persona exists in the design process, each product is only made for people with particular taste and preferences.
If you want to know more about Braun and Rams, You can read the original "Less But Better", "Less and More", Bauhaus Design books and some interviews of Rams and other Braun CDOs. ( also some interviews in German but they have lots of information)
Yeah, This is a consistent feedback from other viewers also. I will Definity fix it. But I´m glad you liked the content. Stay tuned to see more and better content !!
Subcribing today, I hope you'll never use the AI denoiser in your videos and Please use the background music tastefully rather slapping on top of everything, Please otherwise the content is masterpiece

Feels like Xiaomi took the Rams spirit of mass home product devices
Yeah, For Sure. Specially for their Home Appliances but can´t say the same for the smartphone designs
can you suggest some books/resources for someone who want to go deeper after watching your video ;)
subscribed btw.
