So besically it represent jonghyun, you can see how Onew is looking in to his eyes like trying to understand what happened. Also the fox guide them to the forest when they start to run happily, this part is confirmed in the 2nd MV after this one ("I want you" MV), hope you react to it as well. -Onew (the orange hair guy), is the leader and oldest member. You can see in the MV that he seems to be always very sad and serious, and the only one to actually notice the fox (there some kind of conections/ jjong and him were very close) in some part of the MVs you can see Taemin always looking after him , like trying to not left him alone, even in the dance (*watch the live performance*). This confirmed to me that the MV represent exactly what happened. Onew had history of depression as well, and had a "scandal"(incident) before jonghyun passed away, then jjong incident happened and make things even worse for him, so he basically felt responsable for EVERYTHING that had happened . Some one already said in one of your videos that he had a really bad/hard time with all of this. He (as the others) recived therapy, but with him was a lot harder cuz he refused to cry since he believed that he have no right to, he have being basically blaming himselft for it all. As the oldest he suposed to be the lead of the funeral and take name tag , however he could not (Minho did it instead). A lot of people said that SM, his family and members should always have an eye on him, and any one that followed the promotions of their 10 anniversary that exactly what happened all members , specially Taemin took care of him the most, he was watched all the time. He needed to be re-asured that he should not blame himselft and he was a good brother/leader. The MV/dance showed it perfectly. - You could see that Minho is always the one that hold the camera, or is above them or directly looking in to them. It explained since he was the lead of the funeral procession as well it was seem to be the one being the lead in the funeral hall as well. He was basically the face media saw the most from the members when everything happened. - When you see them falling in to the water and with the plastic over them ,it means that with all the emotions+ media they felt that they were soffocating , and in the end you can see Onew halft face out of the water meaning that they are starting breath again but they are still not 100% well. - Also you can see that when Key look back in the forest he smiles is like he sensed Jonghyun presence there, basically he will always be with them. -When they look in to the tunel there are 5 trees behind them, and there is the shadow of jonghyun in the tunel/well. So they are still 5.

I have A LOT of feelings about this choreo and how it represents grief and moving forward and just ugh so much. It feels Taemin-esque bc Taemin actually asked Koharu (his friend and choreographer for a lot of his solo stuff) to come and do this choreo for Shinee. It's much more contemporary style than shinee has ever done but I think it works so well for the song and the feelings they want. Koharu said that Onew was best suited for this style, she said that watching Onew dance was like letting out a sigh (as in its relaxing to watcher to see) which i 100% agree with and not just bc i'm onew biased. I totally understand why The Story of Light era is really hard for some Shawols. For me personally I found the albums really healing? in a way. They were the first shinee albums i bought and it just felt like shinee was wrapping me in a blanket of love saying it was ok to be sad and move forward at the same time.
for me personally, when this mv came out it was so comforting, it made me feel like in the end everything would be alright, that they would be alright. its so difficult to put in words the experience of this comeback, there were people like me that watched it right away, people that watched it later and some that to this day still can't watch it, and I want to remind everyone that it's ok, to take things on your own pace and to always take care of your mental health first. also the images projected in the paint are goldfish, goldfish were used in "odd" teasers and if you look at their latest merch it includes the goldfish and the fox, I think it's a beautiful way to merge their older stuff and the newer of shinee, and I love the references to the little prince with the fox, the little prince story also extends through taemin's want mv and one of his vcr's from a concert
i see that a few people have pointed out the fox representing jjong, and the shadow in the well at the end, but idk if anyone's pointed out yet that at the start of the choreo they're positioned in such a way that there's an empty chair, so there are still technically five spaces.
I love Good Evening so much, musically speaking it’s one of my favorite SHINee songs, I couldn’t stop listening to it when it came out and still listen to it a lot! Also the MV is a masterpiece - everything from aesthetics, through storytelling to very meaningful choreography... I got into SHINee just before their 10th anniversary and I fell in love with The Story Of Light album, I think it’s absolutely amazing! Thank you for continuing with your MV reactions, I can’t wait for I Want You and two more MVs. :)
As a Shawol, the whole Story of Light Album was totally what I needed to release all of what I was feeling. It's also a good album to learn how to process all these emotions as well 'Good Evening', 'Countless', 'I Say', 'I Want You', 'You & I', and most especially 'Our Page'. Those are all the songs that really hits ya, especially when you look at the lyrics. Our Page most especially. 'Our Page 's lyrics was written by all the SHINee members and if you knew a little of their history like their debut day (May 25th, 2008) you would like it a lot. This song and MV was the hardest to watch as I was in tears and had to pause to take a breather and get through it. Another one that gets you is "You & I". The lyrics was writen by Key and well... just check it out and you'll see what I mean. Another cool song is 'Lock You Down', since it actually has Jonghyun's voice in there as it was prerecorded. Hey girl this was a great reaction as always! I understand why it took you so long to get to this MV other then the fact you wanted to get threw the rest of their songs as well! But also because of what happened being hard on you. although for me it was the opposite when I first got into Shinee this was the first MV I saw from them. Although I heard their older stuff in compilations and covers from other groups, but never got into them until later and part of it was because it felt wired reacting to baby taemin but more so the reason I actually took awhile to get into the older music with the 5 of them was because I didn’t want to grow attached to him knowing he isn’t really with them anymore. So I guess that’s why but once I finally convinced myself to listen to their older music I didn’t regret it because it’s amazing and I love a lot of their older songs a lot! But because I did this what I thought was gonna happen did I feel in love with his vocals and got attached as one would when you get into them, so even though he’s not my bias or recker I still very much like him a lot! But I totally get what you mean by saying even though he’s not there in the MV it felt like he was. I also got the same since as you did about the fox being him as well! One thing is for sure he will definitely be missed and always live on in the old music and the hearts of the fans! Btw I’m sure you have been told about this but I still just want to Warn you some of the other songs with the 4 of them are fine to get thew as well but the hardest one will be our page because that is actually a song for him. thank you!!!! while they were filming there was a scene were they were drowning in the pool, taemin and key were terrified, their scenes didn't enter in mv, only onew's. the theme with the little prince later on continued not only in the story of light, but also in taemin's concert, were was the first time we have heard the identity. hope you'll watch the concert, so i won't tell what taemin's role was in it. whole story of light, all of the 3 parts are very important together. but shinee also made the songs in the way that people that don't know what is it about can find their own meaning in the songs and story. the most heart-breaking parts are later.

As with other Shawols it is a dark part of the journey that you need to take. But you do not have to keep dwelling in it. We will always love and miss Jjong but for the sake of the boys we need to move on with them as they have much more to live for. As for now I'm beyond happy to see them reunited, healthy and happy and I look forward to their comeback next year.

The MVs from The Story of Light album are connected. :) Many Shawols think that the fox represents JJ and it is quite an important character in their videos, because it leads them away from.... that place into the woods. You could say it shows them the path... at least I see it like that. Fox from Little Prince. Later Taemin’s solo concert had a Little Prince theme. Coincidence? There are so many hidden meanings in these videos. I remember reading about them, it was very interesting. I like TSOL. It was the first SHINee’s album I bought. It’s very fresh. The name of the album is perfect, in my opinion. As always, I loved your reaction, thank you. :) Also, now you can watch SHINee’s back reality show. They are so cute there. And yes. About the MV, there are a few hints which gave us the message of Jjong actually being there. So, of coure we just cannot help but feel so proud of their great job. Also, I wanted to tell you that the 2nd episode's MV 'I Want You' is somehow connected with this one, but I'll wait for you to see it yourself. Now, I suggest you getting a pair of 3D glasses because innovative SHINee prepared a quite interesting MV and I think you'll be able to have a different experience ;)
This is the song that made me a shawol! I hadn't heard of SHINee since Lucifer era (I was only a casual kpop listener, and mainly into ggs), so when I checked out this song I was completely enthralled. The sound and aesthetics of SHINee are really elevated in this MV. The whole the Story of Light series is a no skip masterpiece to my ears, I'm sure you'll love it too when you get to it! And Jjong is there with them in the MV, if you check the shadow in the well at the end :)
Good Evening was the perfect song to comeback with after everything happened. it was sentimental but forward going. the tiny fox is for jjong, because of the little prince reference. ALSO in the well in the last shot, you can see a shadow of a person inside the well and that is also theorised to be jjong. out of the three (four if countless is counted as part of this era too) comeback mvs from this era, our page is the one that i'm warning about, you will need tissues, i am not joking. no matter how cool of a cucumber you think you can be, that song will destroy you. jeez, just thinking of it is making me teary eyed. i literally can't listen to the song at all because i will start bawling.
When Taemin performed Identity the first time he was representing the little prince. And Identity has a clear reference to jonghyun. All makes sense now.
This MV, of course, brings so many feelings to the surface for everyone. When it dropped it was, A LOT. It's hard to put into words tbh. One of the wonderful things about this MV, though, is that, there's so many levels to it. So many sides. It's fun, but, with a edge of sadness. It's artistic & creative. So modern, and high-concept, like you said, but with that sort of late retro vibe. It's beautiful. Healing. Melancholy, but also uplifting...a whole mess of mixed emotions & vibes. Though, however you interperet it, there's no doubt of it's importance, and meaning. Not just to SHINee, or Shawols, but to the industry as a whole. The pride that I feel whenever I watch this is immense. Ahhh, it sounds a little cringey, and mushy, but I really am honoured to be their fan, and that I get to experience their art, and their talent. And yep, he's there. You can feel his presence in every single part of this.
For me, the Story of Light era was very healing; after the months of sadness, it was something to look forward to, it was time spent with them again, being together with them, and hoping that being with Shawols was good and healing for them as well. And while of course, it will always be a little different without Jonghyun, our boys really did make sure that they retained the SHINee feeling, and were I think, very brave to move forward. I think it also serves as a reminder to view them still as SHINee, and not as a tragedy

I have mixed feelings with this song but it's my favorite from the album, I don't know what it is but as you said, the first time I listened to it I thought the same thing : This is very SHINee. I love it. You understood the fox representation perfectly. For me it's still hard to watch music videos or content without him, I'm not sure if that will ever change but I love these boys, I love the fact that they are still together and I love seeing them healthy, maiking music and smiling so wherever they be, I'll be there as well supporting them. I can't wait for their comeback

I've been studying a lot of philosophy lately and I have come up with a bunch of ideas about what this video could mean. Also a lot that I've read from other Shawols. If you would like me to break it down for you let me know. THERE IS A LOT. In short all the video cameras represent them being constantly under the public eyes view, and only when they are indoors (the glass box) can they be free. They are suffocated and under constant direction from their company. They open the MV with sad expressions and low energy, and as it goes they are becoming more relaxed. When Jinki is looking at the fox (jjong) you can see him being kind of blank and calm but than rain falls down. I feel that it shows his inner emotions because he was afraid to show how upset he was because he wanted to be strong for the other members. Do you also notice they don't look directly at the camera and all the lights make them uncomfortable? Avoiding eye contact? There is a fifth shadow in the well, and the face looking down from above reminds me of Jjong's profile. I also feel that the lyrics are directed towards Jjong... telling him not to worry that they are coming to him and he's not alone.
I did realize you were already doing songs from Story of Light. Did I totally miss your 101 album review? I must be out of it. Anyway, this 1st comeback song was amazing. They did sample the 90s song "Cupid" from 112. The MVs from The Story of Light album are connected. :) Many Shawols think that the fox represents JJ and it is quite an important character in their videos, because it leads them away from.... that place into the woods. You could say it shows them the path... at least I see it like that. Fox from Little Prince. Later Taemin’s solo concert had a Little Prince theme. Coincidence? There are so many hidden meanings in these videos. I remember reading about them, it was very interesting.
I like TSOL. It was the first SHINee’s album I bought. It’s very fresh. The name of the album is perfect, in my opinion. As always, I loved your reaction, thank you. :)

About the MV, there are a few hints which gave us the message of Jjong actually being there. So, of coure we just cannot help but feel so proud of their great job.
Also, I wanted to tell you that the 2nd episode's MV 'I Want You' is somehow connected with this one, but I'll wait for you to see it yourself. Now, I suggest you getting a pair of 3D glasses because innovative SHINee prepared a quite interesting MV and I think you'll be able to have a different experience ;)
This is the song that made me a shawol! I hadn't heard of SHINee since Lucifer era (I was only a casual kpop listener, and mainly into ggs), so when I checked out this song I was completely enthralled. The sound and aesthetics of SHINee are really elevated in this MV. The whole the Story of Light series is a no skip masterpiece to my ears, I'm sure you'll love it too when you get to it!
And Jjong is there with them in the MV, if you check the shadow in the well at the end :)
The little prince was Jonghyun's favorit book, so the fox was a representation of him to us.

Good Evening was the perfect song to comeback with after everything happened. it was sentimental but forward going.
the tiny fox is for jjong, because of the little prince reference. ALSO in the well in the last shot, you can see a shadow of a person inside the well and that is also theorised to be jjong. out of the three (four if countless is counted as part of this era too) comeback mvs from this era, our page is the one that i'm warning about, you will need tissues, i am not joking. no matter how cool of a cucumber you think you can be, that song will destroy you. jeez, just thinking of it is making me teary eyed. i literally can't listen to the song at all because i will start bawling.
When Taemin performed Identity the first time he was representing the little prince. And Identity has a clear reference to jonghyun. All makes sense now.
This MV, of course, brings so many feelings to the surface for everyone.
When it dropped it was, A LOT. It's hard to put into words tbh.
One of the wonderful things about this MV, though, is that, there's so many levels to it. So many sides.
It's fun, but, with a edge of sadness. It's artistic & creative. So modern, and high-concept, like you said, but with that sort of late retro vibe. It's beautiful. Healing. Melancholy, but also uplifting...a whole mess of mixed emotions & vibes.
Though, however you interperet it, there's no doubt of it's importance, and meaning. Not just to SHINee, or Shawols, but to the industry as a whole.
The pride that I feel whenever I watch this is immense. Ahhh, it sounds a little cringey, and mushy, but I really am honoured to be their fan, and that I get to experience their art, and their talent.
And yep, he's there. You can feel his presence in every single part of this.
For me, the Story of Light era was very healing; after the months of sadness, it was something to look forward to, it was time spent with them again, being together with them, and hoping that being with Shawols was good and healing for them as well. And while of course, it will always be a little different without Jonghyun, our boys really did make sure that they retained the SHINee feeling, and were I think, very brave to move forward. I think it also serves as a reminder to view them still as SHINee, and not as a tragedy

I have mixed feelings with this song but it's my favorite from the album, I don't know what it is but as you said, the first time I listened to it I thought the same thing : This is very SHINee. I love it.
You understood the fox representation perfectly. For me it's still hard to watch music videos or content without him, I'm not sure if that will ever change but I love these boys, I love the fact that they are still together and I love seeing them healthy, maiking music and smiling so wherever they be, I'll be there as well supporting them. I can't wait for their comeback

I've been studying a lot of philosophy lately and I have come up with a bunch of ideas about what this video could mean. Also a lot that I've read from other Shawols. If you would like me to break it down for you let me know. THERE IS A LOT. In short all the video cameras represent them being constantly under the public eyes view, and only when they are indoors (the glass box) can they be free. They are suffocated and under constant direction from their company. They open the MV with sad expressions and low energy, and as it goes they are becoming more relaxed. When Jinki is looking at the fox (jjong) you can see him being kind of blank and calm but than rain falls down. I feel that it shows his inner emotions because he was afraid to show how upset he was because he wanted to be strong for the other members. Do you also notice they don't look directly at the camera and all the lights make them uncomfortable? Avoiding eye contact? There is a fifth shadow in the well, and the face looking down from above reminds me of Jjong's profile. I also feel that the lyrics are directed towards Jjong... telling him not to worry that they are coming to him and he's not alone.

I did realize you were already doing songs from Story of Light. Did I totally miss your 101 album review? I must be out of it. Anyway, this 1st comeback song was amazing. They did sample the 90s song "Cupid" from 112. Have your mom check it out and see if she hears it🤗, since we're from the same generation.👍 The fox represents Jonghyun...and the ending at the well made me cry😭❣
