Man, I loved this game as a kid. It's got really interesting level ideas, unlike the standard themes in every Mario today. Too bad absolutely nothing in it gets referenced anywhere, because it's neither the first game nor the best game nor the most recent. Unless you count Wario, but he's his own character now.
It's more like it's never referenced due to the team that made it. The team that made this and Super Mario Land weren't the main Mario team so they made liberties. It was because of that though why Wario and Daisy were only exclusive to spin-offs, which still stands to this day only Waluigi is included in that. Wario got a brief break in Super Mario 64 DS, but that was only due to it being a glorified tech demo for the DS.
Those burger dudes are actually a lantern yokai im not going to attempt to spell the name and butcher it, though i can see why they can be confused for a burger by someone young.
This is the first mario game I ever played and also first I've beaten, I grew up with my gameboy colour and mostly all the gameboy pokemon and this was the only fun other gameboy game I had so much nostalgia

I think thats a great point Logan! I think that if it were possible to lower the number of left presses low enough then maybe this video would have been more worthwile. Edit: I'm sorry I didnt mean that YAHOO! *long jumps away*

I played this game over and over and over on my Game Boy back in the 90s. Easily the Mario game I’ve spent the most time with. Love it.

If memory serves there is a glitch that allows you to pull off a no left press run but it skips the whole game and I know you play fair and honest.
