Excellent video mate, glad to see a collector giving a decent amount of air time to the chimes..usually it's just a quick hi/lo and the video's over. G'day from Australia **(sorry if I'm telling you sonething you already know)but the CS1 and CS2 horn can be adjusted on the back cap so you might be able to clean up the voice of the high tone if you wanted to.
you will be harder pressed to find those as the horns in this video came off a recently dismantled unit. The Desilux horns fitted to the earlier diesels (class 33 and 45 horns will sound the exact same, since they were in fact the exact same Desilux horns :D) were probably abundant in the late 80s through the early 2000s maybe, since that was when the first-gen diesels were being scrapped. Now your best bet is to find them occasionally pop up on eBay, or railwayana auctions. They won't be too cheap though, unless you can find a Class 37 or 20 being recently dismantled at a scrap yard, and directly go ask them.

I bet the train drivers near that area are really confused
OMG I would love that on my car

i think these sounds were recorded and put into Roblox GCR as 313 horns
think so too
Why is there a fabric pad on the horn
That's how the horns were like when they were in service by trains
Hi mate, i recently got a set of trumpets and a lever myself. May i have a link to the pipes and compressor you used? Thanks very much. great video
Bet the neighbours love you
Great video on these mate, would love a set of horns myself. A quick question, which horn is the high note and which the low note?
From the video, the larger one (left) appears to be the low note, the smaller one (right) appears to be the high note
@@TheSpanishInquisition thanks for the response mate, much appreciated.
How do people find these??
I'm seriously looking for Class 33 and 45 horns

Hiya mate just wondering were do you get these from? If you don't mind me asking? Was it an railway enthusiast auction?
I purchased these on eBay for roughly £200
Good question
I’m gonna get a pair of these to wake my gf in the morning
Any idea of which 313 these horns were from?
Unfortunately the seller did not elaborate on which unit they were from
To Actually be honest if your ever going to Sell thats l would happy buy them from you 😊

where do I buy
Grand continental Railways anyone?
Which compressor do you use
We’ve just bought a similar set, what PSI do these need?
These were being operated at about 40 PSI from memory
I assume you had an air tank as well to supply the air required. I’ve not dealt with rigging horns to work before- I’ve got no clue how they work 😂

Where did you get these
Purchased on eBay around the time the Great Northern 313s were being scrapped
Don’t really sound the same but still cool
Them train horns typically deafen people 🤣🤣🤣how are you so close to it??
He stands behind the horn so he hears it loud, but hes not in the way of the direct force of the sound to deafen him
@@NSE465 yh true, unless hes also wearing ear protection and we cant see it
Where’d you get then from?
How much were these? There really cool!!!
The horns and lever was roughly £200. The hose, connections and air compressor was roughly £120 total
