I did a lot of Chi Sau years ago and it was NEVER EVER explained, so for a thicko like me I didn't progress well. This really explains it so well. The traditional way is that some senior student slaps you about a bit and gives the odd tip. Typical chinese BS. Or you pay the Sifu for privates. Also BS. Secret hidden techniques anyone? That will be 20 quid. Respect to Mr Dyde.
First lesson is single chi sau. This needs to be taught correctly and learnt properly . The tricks can wait until you’ve mastered double chi sau. Otherwise these techniques are useless.
Guy on Right: You have no Tan Sao...your elbow position is about a MILE off to the outside and by doing that you are forcing an equally incorrect position/response in your partner who is holding that error... This invalidates almost anything useful here.... Also, for every technique there must be a position/energy condition..not you just do the move b/c you feel like it...
@@terrancat Or you could just read what was stated ... Also the guy on right is using his left palm on the wrist of the guy on the left..that is also incorrect... It's critical you use wrist to wrist on the luk sao... Now do you understand that or do you need a picture?
