    Necessity is the mother of invention.
    The mama whale baby whale was such a cute touch. Thumbs up for that.
    I want to suggest the Yoto Mini Player for stories, music, and radio. You can make your own special cards too.

    I'm curious about the details of the trip and the pack light part. Like how large are the 2 backpacks and the luggage? What is the total weight of all the stuff that you brought to the trip to consider it light? On the trip, did you rent a car or carried everything from place to place? How much children's clothes did you bring? How much did you pack for the entire family? In a way, you just suggested travel items for the kids, but the "pack lighter" was not really shown. At least show us a picture of the entire family all loaded and ready to go.

    Wow, you opened your buggy nano so easily as well as folding it away. I’m having such a hard time opening it and folding it. I’m going to have to play with it constantly to get the hang of it.

      It does take a little practice, we’ve had ours for about 3 years now. If you have a minute, practice doing it like 5 times in a row without the kids around and it’ll be easier when you’re actually on the go ❤

    My cloth diapers and accessories would take up a carry on case alone, but since we use merino wool, we could probably do a suitcase as a family of 4. (3 yo, 5 mo)
    Thanks for the tips.

      Hi! Wool for the win. I’m currently trying to pack clothes for our family of 5 into a carry on suitcase. Wish me luck! 🌺 Heidi

    I appreciate this video but I was annoyed that I couldnt see half of what she was doing cause the camera was placed too high. (setting up of the crib, the travel bottle cleaner set, etc)

    How do you decide to bring a car seat or not on a trip? Especially for a younger baby who will be on your lap for the flight?

    • @thismomdidit
      @thismomdidit  Год назад

      It really depends on what type of transportation you’ll be using when you get to your destination. If you’re planning on using public transportation, leave the car seat at home. If you’re renting a car or using a car service/Uber/Lyft, you may want to bring your own to ensure you have one that fits your baby and is in good condition. Hope that helps! ♥️

    Did you go to Italy? I am traveling this Saturday for 3 weeks with a 2 yo and 8 yo. I’m mostly worried about what to pack for the 2 yo. I’m not sure if we can wash there . We are traveling whole Italy and Spain and never been there . So for us 4 I’m planing to take one suitcase and carry on . What do you recommend ? I was planing on taking diapers like the one you showed . 1/2 box of pampers like 66 diapers I believe . And two packs of wipes . Im not taking crib. But I am taking stroller , car seats for both and oxygen for the 2 yo. What do you recommend if you went to Italy ? ( I saw caption of one picture on the video )

      Yay! That sounds like such a great trip! We did go to Italy and Spain with our little ones. What you have sounds perfect. Diapers were easily accessible everywhere we went at both grocery stores and pharmacy’s. Cribs we’re hit or miss but my 3 yo mostly slept in our bed or an extra bed if there was one. All of the airbnbs we stayed in had a washing machine but no dryer, so it took awhile to do laundry but we were able to. Car seats are fantastic for if your renting cars, we did not have the best experiences with rented car seats. I have tons more info about what we did in Italy and Spain with kids if you want to check out my highlights on Instagram! ❤

      @@thismomdidit Great Yes I will take a look at your instagram for sure. I am still not finished packing and leaving tomorrow. 😅🙄 I will pack some diapers in the car seat bag hopefully I will be able to check that. I did that on my previous trip and worked.

    Great video! Which airline did you fly? I’m doing a long haul flight in the summer and heard airlines aren’t allowing the inflatable foot rests anymore 🫣

    • @thismomdidit
      @thismomdidit  Год назад

      Thank you!! Our long haul flights have all been Delta (we’re in Atlanta). Technically you’re supposed to wait and set it up after take off and put it up before landing but our flight attendants have been ok with it for the full time on all the flights. My kids are usually in the window or middle seats so it’s not blocking the ability to get out. Good luck on your flight this summer!!

    Just an FYI, it some airlines don’t allow inflatable foot rests or other types of items that go in the foot rest area. Which stinks as they are so useful especially for overnight flights. I used one for my 2 year old last year and it was awesome, but then we flew back on another airline on the way gnome and it wasn’t allowed.

    • @thismomdidit
      @thismomdidit  Год назад

      Agreed! I wish they would all allow it. We’ve gotten lucky and every airline so far has allowed us to use it but on some we had to wait till we hit 10,000 ft and take it down before landing
