Why did McDonalds removed Mac Tonight if everybody loved him? Do we have a chance to see him back as the mascot of McDonalds again?, did McDonalds gave an answer? Im from Argentina, and Mac Tonight wasn't featured here, and i just discovered him!, Hes amazing!. Such a shame...
McDonald's was sued in 1989 by the son of Bobby Darin for using the "Mack the Knife" theme without permission - as far as I'm aware, the lawsuit was never actually won, but McDonald's agreed to stop using the theme song in commercials. They tried 'reviving' the Mac Tonight campaigns with different songs and minor appearances in commercials such as this one, but none of them took off in the US.
