¡Caramba! Nunca ví tan seguro a Hugo Calderano. Qué control en el ataque. Qué técnica. Qué experiencia. Hugo entra creo al pico más alto de su carrera deportiva. Además hace buena estrategia y controla sus emociones para no dejarse llevar por el nerviosismo. ¡Felicitaciones latinoamericano!

I'm trying to teach my 6 year old son good sportsmanship. Unfortunately my son saw Truls throw a hissy fit (tantrum) - the very thing I'm trying to teach my son not to do. Anyway, will still a great match. I'm glad Hugo won, as I was then able to say to my son: "...See - did the tantrum do any good?..." 🤣

That consistent delaying of actually serving should be pointed out by the referee or something. He's about to serve....then another swipe, another blow, then it seems he's serving...no...another swipe....c'mon! Why bend like your're about to serve and then don't serve right away? One thing is to do it every now and then...another is to do it every single serve. It's no illegal but it should. Not in condition to serve...don't bend down. Do your thing in a relax position.

I love how professional Adam Borrow is at Commentating the game. More than half of the time he is off topic and saying really obvious things. It is sad to see poor quality of commentators WTT has compared to other popular sports. They don't know their stuff and can't properly analyze games. I just wish they can shut up and let me watch the game myself because most of the time he is just trying to justify what he said is right rather than focusing on the details of the game.

He's saying the obvious things because he wants to provide more context for those less familiar with Table Tennis. I believe if he was truly a bad commentator he wouldn't be chosen to commentate for the Paris Olympics. You just might not be exactly the audience he's tailoring his commentary to

@@lucienfantkeit's probably the only sport that I generally prefer when there's no commentator, given the poor standard of commentary in table tennis. Muting it would be a bit strange can't hear players or crowd.

@@mryan4452 I live in China. Commentary here is fantastic. Female and male commentators. (If you understand mandarin). On CCTV 5. In Bundesliga used to be good as well. Now also kinda bad. WTT only has like 3-4 people. Almost all talk too much or talk about unimportant things.

@@luiandres5201he's a poor quality commentator. I don't know how many sports you watch, but the current TT commentators including Adam are the worst commentators I've come across in any sport. It's the same with the actual TV coverage, sometimes rubbish and breaks down. I've never seen that in another sport. But then again TT does not have the viewership figures, so may not be able to justify paying for high quality commentators and streams of the matches.

With all due respect to the commentators, but it is unpleasant to listen to such commentary. Why is there no analysis of the game, but only praise for one of the players? For example, Hugo serves a high pendulum serve, and expectedly after cutting(idk what it's called in English) to the center makes a strong topspin on the diagonal. Or: Truls, after underspin serve, delivers a quick side spin serve to Hugo's elbow, causing Calderano to miss a forehand topspin. I realize that newcomers may not understand this commentary, but what is the point of it? Is it to hear about how one player likes to play basketball? I'm sorry, but I find it easier to turn off the sound than to listen to a superficial opinion of the game. And yes, it’s worth mentioning that from time to time commentators still provide high-quality analysis.
