Not sure if I'm in frame, but I was there as well. I was right under brooklyn bridge on a patch of grass. The kids playing, the people free, and a spectacular fireworks show. The worst part was the 2-hour long line back into the subway that was crowded as a Japanese tram.

i was in Carle place ny watching fireworks with my family there were beautiful but these are incredible
