    I had watched your t max video since I just switched to that ecm on my 07 RKC. I’ve owned mine since new and my stock clutch got me close to 100k, my 96 motor is now a 110 with a Baker DD7. This part and a new clutch definitely were a must when jumping up the HP. Easy install and well worth it! Good video!

    Smooth install, freaking awesome, looks great and will feel even better. Great video brother.

      Thank you, broseph 🙏 it definitely helped. But it also made the clutch lever pull extremely harder above 3,000 rpm. So I installed the Rekluse slave cylinder and it made a big difference in lightening the pull.

    Been looking to do the same with my 475 stage 2 upgrading. Same as I may change the stock compensator. The bike is new, but want to save grief in the future. I'll be tuning to see your follow-up.
    Thx!

      In my opinion. I think the compensator delete or even beefing up the comp from stock to a beefier one, is mainly a money grab. The chances of the comp failing are pretty slim. Unless you’re running 170+ Tq and HP. But if you’re gonna do anything to it. I would suggest just doing the Man-O-War replacement

    @Gimpys Garage I see this concern with a heavier pull often on these AIM VDR’s. Did you use the medium springs or the heavy ones?

    • @Gimps_Garage
      @Gimps_Garage  10 месяцев назад

      I used the medium springs. But I added the Rekluse slave cylinder to counter the heavy pull. So it has evened itself out. It’s nice and buttery now

      @ernestoluzan 10 месяцев назад

      @@Gimps_GarageRight on. I have a cable clutch. I was gonna add this but I don’t want to be stuck with a heavy pull. I spoke with Rekluse today. I’m probably going to add the Auto clutch. The rekluse team informed me it’s good up to 165 lb ft of torque. That ain’t an easy number to get to, lol

      @ernestoluzan it is if you’re trying and you have a bored motor about 124” lol.

      @@Gimps_Garage Yea what I meant was, I’m going to a 128 Big bore, no additional head work, Woods 22XE cam. I’ll get to 140ish if I’m lucky. I lost a bunch since I’m at elevation

    “Drive line weak-link Revelations,” I am a firm believer the emergence of weak-links in one’s drive line were always there. I believe there is an off-center setup that wouldn’t work with this product. Excellent point brah.
    Ya gotta luv those “shavings & sh!t” trying to give us a parting jab for correcting those weak-links. I got as much Nice stuff as I could get on my 107. Where did you get those floorboards? My feet slip when I go above 120. 2FD

      The floorboards are death metal racing aka boosted Brad. They’re called “bear traps”. Pretty pricey. But they’re comfortable and very well made. I’d suggest them.

    I put the AIM light clutch in my 2021 CVO. great little addition to the clutch system. 🤘🏻 but the pull is pretty tight. Is it tight with the max SDR?

    • @Gimps_Garage
      @Gimps_Garage  Год назад +1

      Yes. It changed the pull. It’s very very heavy. Had to add the Rekluse slave cylinder to counter the pull of the lever. Should make it lighter. Actually just released that install video.

    idk if i missed it or not but are you just running factory springs ? also curious why the max over the light ? seems like the light has plenty enough clamping power for most applications other than heavily modified big bore builds, especially with heavier springs

    • @Gimps_Garage
      @Gimps_Garage  Год назад

      Good question. So I’m currently running a 114 big bored. But it’s pushing the max capabilities of the light. I will be going to 124” jugs. So I will need the max for that as well.

    • @Gimps_Garage
      @Gimps_Garage  Год назад

      Also, the springs im running are the slightly heavier screaming eagle springs that are good up to 170 torque 170 HP.

      @@jeremyschold2541 pretty tight. I had to install a Rekluse slave cylinder to counter the super heavy pull. But it’s working much better now. Hittin on all gears
