Chris & Carol: I am hoping more new videos are coming up soon this week from Brazil about beaches & restaurants in September of 2023❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys & good Luck always in peace 2023❤❤❤
Congratulations to you guys for your new remarkable video yesterday's from Brazil on these remarkable beaches with other tourists in September of 2023❤❤❤
I’m so envious of you for having endless acai berries! I’m so happy to see the Brazilian countryside this time! The beaches in Brazil are beautiful, the business district is well designed and the food looks great! Although people can't swim safely in the sea, they can still enjoy a happy weekend at the beach! Those little sailboats are so cute! I love the custom of making a wish when you pass under the bridge! Thank you very much for sharing, super great job! 👍🤩🙏
My two favorite RUclips travelers. Humble, kind, honest and beautiful. Keep doing what you do. Brazil is such a fantastic country I just love going there.
My old stomping grounds from my Peace Corps days and post Peace Corps days many moons ago. I wouldn't trade those days for anything. I still maintain contact with the Brazilian family that I shared a house (in Nazare da Mata, Pe) with back in those days. Recife, Olinda, Pernambuco que maravilha!
@@Sugarshane88 I am going to tell this story as I recall. I grew up surfing and swimming on those beaches and sharks were not even a thing. There was an estuary a bit further North (several actually) which was closed to make a port. They did no environmental studies as usual. That estuary was used by bullsharks to have their babies and the older ones would hunt there as well. The bullsharks had to move further South. So, since the 90s, this has been an issue. We reap what we sow.
It looks like Goa with the similar churches. I heard that white paint was reserved for the churches only, so they had to use color on their houses. A relative of mine in Goa has Portuguese ancestry by way of Brazil. His ancestor arrived in Goa in the late 17th century. And people from Goa, artisans, were taken to Brazil to help build the churches. The Portuguese came to Goa first and built the churches and trained the artisans and masons in Goa, and took these people to Brazil. Surprisingly these folk for from Goa lost contact with Goa and assimilated completely into Brazilian culture. Normally, most people from Goa living overseas always maintain a connection to Goa/India - except for the folk that went to Brazil. Maybe because it was so far away from India? They didn't have planes and it must have been costly to buy a ticket on a ship to go back home. I see that they have the same, singing and dancing, having a good time, too. Brazil is the only Portuguese territory in South America. My grandfather spoke fluent Portuguese but I don't know but for a few words that were incorporated into our language, because by 1961 the Portuguese were gone and India has tried to wipe out any trace of it. They hate the Portuguese for converting Hindus into Christians.
I'm sorry. Maybe she didn't know well, but Old Recife is one of the most safe parts of Recife. Maybe at pagode do Didi is really not too safe. and contrary to what is wrongly said, it is very safe to swim behind the reefs at Boa Viagem beach.
Olinda is a very special place in PE. Carol, seu cabelo fica lindo! I remember once I was visiting in BA, a guide mentioned that many of the colonial churches were never completely 💯 finished/constructed because they didn’t have to pay taxes to Portugal until they were completed. One of the oldest jeitinhos 🤣. Stay happy and safe and enjoy Rio! Que saudades do Rio. ❤️
Love colorful Olinda. There is an Olinda on Maui but Olinda of Brazil is way better. Also loved the boat tour. Looking at the buildings from the river is cool. 😊
I am waching your travelling videos long time ago. You are the most loving and charming couple. Your videos also are excillent. Thank you from Greece which you also have visited
Love your vlogs! I'm actually jumping places right along with you! Carols curls are GIVING lush, shiny and moisturized in Brazil! Love when Chris says Good Marnin'!
😊wow what a cheap meal on the beach you both had a great price for the room the boat trip I clapped and wished you both safe on your wonderful travels God bless you for the absolute adventures you both do it's just amazing giving all your followers prices all the best John uk 😊
I enjoy all your videos, guys, but those from Brazil are my favourites. I used to live there a few years ago and it makes me nostalgic to see the places I love and miss.
Hiya. Chris and Carol. *Congratulations. 340K Subscribers.* Gorgeous intro. Beautiful drone footage. Always so informative. Have you had your hair cut, Carol?. Or just your curls pulling it up. Beautiful tour around. As I always say. The best tour guides around any destination. Love the colourful buildings. And the artwork. I do not blame you. I would not swim either. A gorgeous stretch of the coastline. Those sailboats were cute. Lovely boat tour. Gorgeous sunset. Perfect music. Nice chilled night vibes at the street party. Lovely video. Have a wonderful week.
Nice and colorful area. And the acai looked delicious. I googled acai, cause I never heard of it before. And we can actually by acai in Norway too ☺ As powder, tea, juice etc ♥ Maybe I try it some time. ☺ take care you two ♥♥
Great video! Brazil, what a place! 🇧🇷❤Wish you could make more videos there in Recife, but I'll be checking out your upcoming videos from Rio. Thanks Chris and Carol, Obrigado!
Great video with loads of valuable informations Within a week or so we’re headed from Rondônia to Mato Grosso and then on to north east To be honest I wasn’t really keen on Recife until watching this video. I just hate how Brazil plaster nice beaches with disgusting concrete high rises. But your video shows a different picture of Recife. Just love the colourfulness and vibrant feeling from the old town Recife Definitely on our list now. Also the prices are surprisingly inexpensive. Sometimes I’m chocked about prices here in Rondônia 🤯 there’s zero tourism here and people are very simple. Yet price level can sometimes be surprisingly high
I was there earlier this year and I didnt know about the sharks. I went into the ocean alone and noticed that nobody else was swimming. I got in pretty deep too lol. Then some life guard noticed me and came out to tell me that its not safe. But they do have this area thats more protected by rocks where everyone else swims.
In Pernambuco I've only been to Jaboatão, not Recife. Despite the distance from one city to another, the shark attacks stories scared the hell out of me, that's why I didn't go in the water. I love this part of Brazil, tho. Greetings from São Paulo.
This video takes me back to when I would go every year with my ex to visit her family in Belo Horizonte. It's been many years and I'd like to go back one day. As you say Ouro Preto and Tiradentes are very pretty (BH itself not really). The only city I remember colorful buildings like in the video is Pelourinho, Salvador. And the only place I've been to in nordeste is Natal which I enjoyed very much, especially the sand dunes. And I agree the Recife beachfront does remind me of Rio, minus the famous swirl design on the sidewalks.
Jumping places I already have my plans set in NE Brasil. I planned on visiting (Fortaleza, Jericoacoa, Pipa-RGDS, Lencois Mahrenses). I really wanted to stick to the above places to visit in Brasil, but now that I have seen your vlog about state of Pernambuco. I"m now second guessing not including Pernambuco in my itinerary. Is Pernambuco really worth a visit, if I'm already visiting the states of Rio Grande Do Norte/Ceara/Mahranhao? No Rio in this trip, just way too much drama for me in Rio De Janeiro.
If you like beaches lined with coconut palm trees with a caribbean vibe Pernambuco and Alagoas is great, particularly the coastline between Recife and Maceio, I especially enjoyed the area around São Miguel dos Milagres but if you are into more developed places Maragogi and Porto de Galinhas might suit you better. Don't get me wrong Jeri is a nice place with a good party vibe but the nature is very different from Pernambuco. No I am not a native to Brazil but I spent three years living and working there, travelling all over exploring this fantastic country Also if you are going to Lencois Mahrenses make sure you choose the right time of year when there is actually water between the dunes (May to September) or you might be a little disappointed.
Yes, completely different places if you're not considering only the beaches. All of the states in Brazil are pretty distincts. An advice: the best time to visit Lençois Maranhenses is from april to september, when the lagoons are full of water.
Another interesting and important historical place to visit is the Sinagoga Kahal Zur Israel. You learn about the history of the Jewish community there. The street it’s located on is very beautiful.
Hi Carol and Chris. I admire both of you. I love your great videos. Please and please spend some time on SEO. I watch other videos that nobody can even compare to yours but they are watched more than yours. You can watch some online training videos and boost yours. Please continue doing great. Greetings to both of you.❤❤❤
beautiful colourful buildings and so many cool pictures on them. Love it! What a bummer that people can not swim because of sharks. I would chance it and swim
Not to put a negative spin on your awesome video but I want to warn the visitors to be careful of professional pick pockets gangs that hang out in the parades at carnival . I had to learn the hard way . At first she put a hard thing on my back saying it was her purse to distract me then the next person took my phone . It was very crowed so I couldn’t do anything. I will say the people Brazil where the warmest and most helpful people I have ever met . I nice couple helped me back to my apt as I had no phone, money credit cards or license. Keep as much as you can back at the hotel . As far as the açaí , make sure you get the natural one which has less sugar . I bought the ones from the grocery store and it was almost pure glucose ( sugar) . I was eating so much and gaining weight , then I looked at the Ingredients lol. I miss the tapioca sandwich stands. Would be a great gluten free alternative to bring to the states . Keep the awesome videos with your kind and genuine style coming !

GREAT VIDEO!! Yeah right looks "very dangerous"!! BRAZIL IS BEAUTIFUL!!🎉😮

Awesome place, and couple. But unfortunate that cities are dangerous at night.
Excellent video!👍
Loving your videos! How do we find a samba street party? Especially given you mentioned Recife is not safe at night? Thanks!
This açai was actually "ice cream taste of açai", but selled as açaí.

Because of dutch and british, our portuguese buildings were destroyed. Unfortunately.
Cidade histórica do nordeste, muita cultura.

Most of the bridges were built during the Dutch rule, Mauritius of Nassau, and the West India Company.
beautiful colourful buildings and so many cool pictures on them. Love it! What a bummer that people can not swim because of sharks. I would chance it and swim
Vídeo bom
The Dutch occupied Pernambuco,,,, specially Recife, Ilha de Itamaraca. Many Dutch castles in Recife and Ilha de Itamaraca.
@9:49 I really like the Spanish colonial looking homes lined along the roadside. Some parts of the video appeared similar to places in Cuba. 🌉 👏🏻
Portugues*
Não são de arquitetura espanhola são de arquitetura portuguesa

That was not feijão tropeiro, it was baião de dois. Feijão tropeiro is more popular in minas and has loads of ingredients.
Vocês ja foram em tantos lugares no Brasil que eu nem sei mais o que posso sugerir kkkkk
O Brasil é tão grande que eles podem passar um ano inteiro viajando pelo país que ainda vai faltar muita coisa boa para eles verem.
Literally going to
Boa sorte 23:09
