Another great video. Thanks a lot. You are the first vlogger to visit the smaller towns in Malaysia. It's so refreshing. I certainly have never been to KS, and I think a lot of locals haven't either. Keep it up.
There is a bus station in Kuala Selangor town. From Kuala Lumpur's ultra modern TBS bus station, you could get a bus to almost most towns in Peninsular Malaysia, including to Thailand and Singapore. I am surprised you had difficulty getting to Kiala Selangor. You could have enquired at the many ticketing counters at TBS Terminal.
@olderbackpacker yeah if i think about it now.. Who knows what people do in hotel, compared to hostels where you share room with everybody else you couldn't do "weird things"🤣.. So i think you're right hostel is much cleaner
Another popular town nearby is sekinchan - known for its padi fields and seaside village as well. It's more local feel and more laid back compared to Kuala Selangor. Another town a bit down from Kuala Selangor is tanjung seat - also a nice day trip tiny local town.
Invest on a (cheap) raincoat for you and your backpack and a contractible umbrella that you can keep them small in your backpack from Mr DIY :DD I'm sure this weather will be the same until March next year if your land route are from Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Try hitchhiking and try Malaysian hospitality especially in the most remote areas where tourists are a rare sight. Stay at the kampung houses or if in Borneo (the longhouses), etc.
I remember trying to get Ubers in Somerset and Devon, no chance. It makes life difficult when you can't get a ride, especially if you get caught out by the rain. The hostel is cool.
@@olderbackpacker cool , 😎 I’m hoping to get one myself soon .. I am getting back into my ytube channel again . Have to build up my content and subscribers … Keep up the good work stew , and stay safe . 👍

I enjoy the smaller cities and the towns more than the big cities! 🙂
Monsoons are the seasonal winds that bring the rains. Not the rains themselves.
Umbrella season!
thank you for your visit. hope to see you in future
I hope so too, it’s a lovely town

Mate, it’s not as bad as people think! They’re always a lot cleaner than some hotels!

I checked out Sekinchan but it’s really expensive for the accommodation :/
@olderbackpacker I think cause it's quite limited there. I usually go for day trips :)
Hostel looks good. 👍
Cheers mate, it’s really comfortable :)
Must go see the fire flies at Kampung Kuantan.
I didn’t get a chance to see them :/

I’m hoping that the blue skies and sunshine will be here soon ha ha 🙂
If you are a seafood lover, try those fresh seafood dishes over there! You won't regret it!
Thanks for the tip!

I’ve not seen one hitch hiker in Malaysia! I wasn’t too sure if it would be safe?
