New here, really love Styropyro, he's not just crazy, he's crazy smart. He's taught classes before and knows a lot about what he's doing, he just also knows how to make it seem alarmingly dangerous. Thankfully he's also super safe about the stuff he does, or he'd get deleted lol.
Agreed he is an absolute legend
Yea he has a master's in laser tech and another degree of a smaller level with electrical engineering
@@krunkmonkey3792 He has only bachelors degree in chemistry. Nothing in laser or electrical that stuff is just his hobby.
He also progressively gets more muscular throughout his videos.
One of his old laser videos did actually get banned, I don't remember what exactly about it was against ToS but he's more careful now.
Ya know, Styropyro would probably be a Scientist in a Command and Conquer game, a lot the stuff he makes feels like it'd be in the hands of GDI, Nod, the Allies or the Soviets.
Rumor has it Styro works for NASA now
“Hey guys, styropyro here. You may be wondering what this beefy machine is behind me. Well, that’s my own variant of the Prism tower”
He does freelance contracts for the DOD. He's mentioned it alot in videos. Also gets cool tech from leftover project parts
@@ultralaggerREV1 It'd probably be the Allied answer to the Soivet's Paris Tower... Also I can just hear your comment in his voice.
@@kabob0077 HAHA, exactly what I crafted.
My comment I made it for people to purposely read in their minds with Styro’s voice
it’s amazing hearing how unimpressed stryo is after seeing a voltage output strong enough to kill him
😆 I know he so flippant about it
202th,18thliker2thcinentr
Seing styropyro's older videos really shows how much muscle he's put on. He's becoming too powerful
Isn’t he into Jujitsu?
Obligatory epic rap battle (Rasputin) reference - did somebody say real power!?
@@thinklist yeah he is
Imagine if Styropyro and Michael Reeves got together.
You know it's the real deal when the professionals stare in shock and excitement at your creation.
StyroPyro has such amazing content, terrifying, but awesome
So true I love it
Styropyro will make the most dangerous weapon of mass destruction and then be like “this is cool, but it could kill so many more people. Let’s amp it up a bit”. Love this guy 😂
So true. Everything needs to be bigger for him 😆
If something ever brings forth the false vacuum decay of the universe, it’ll be them
If you think StyroPyro is crazy.... He was inspired by the original electrical engineering mental case that is PhotonicInduction
They are both so crazy and awesome
Yeeeeah, PhotonicInduction made my jaw hit the floor the first time I saw one of his videos. Melting a 'spanner' on a BRICK that was sitting on a RUG. No fire hazard there (as sparks and chunks of molten metal go flying.) Dude is 100% certified Batshit Crazy™.
Finally, a YT comment shown on video. All of his Tesla coil videos are definitely worth a watch, even if it's not for a video
Of course, these comments are what keeps me going. I’m just steering the ship 🚢 you guys are directing me 👍
I find that when the professionals are giddy is when you should worry
Yeah Styro is a madman and make Telsa proud everyday. He exists to redefine safety ratings
😆😂 he is a legend
“class four” “smash more”
Love this kiddo, he is total nuts with lazers... and almost sounds like a madman with his ideas he is about to do
He is AWESOME isn’t he. Can’t wait to do another
And yet, he’s fully qualified to do this stuff too
He's something around 30
@@MassShadow9935 never would've thought he was qualified lol
@@themblue8236 oh right, time flies. I saw his Methyl Borate video 10 years back. He is kiddo to me forever liked it or not lol
he has a pet squirrel. hes like a fucking disney princess mixed with a mad scientist.
😆😂 OMG so true
StyroPyro: Mad scientist, but also a lad with such a unique energy. Man has an energy that I wish could be bottled up and sold
We joke at work that all electricity relate blokes are a bit weird
I once commented on his videos saying "Well if there's ever a global wide electromagnetic pulse knocking out our electricity or a gamma ray burst blasting out into space, then we'll know who to blame.
I saw this video because I follow Styropyro. The guy is actually super knowledgeable and has a degree in chemistry (i think) to back it up. But his channel is super fun. Definitely should watch more
He is a LEGEND!
Hahaha its always fun showing someone styropyro for the first time. I love the reactions!
Thanks mate 💪 he is one loose unit
The other device is even more frightening than the Tesla
I credit Styropyros old laser videos for my old boss and I eventually becoming good friends. We worked with lasers in our field of work and we used to watch them together and shit our pants over some of the stuff he created. His videos brought out the inner child in us.
Great to finally have another Aussie electrical / electronics channel! Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks for the support mate 💪
Sometimes i like to imagine an alien civilization intercepting our internet videos, and the first glimpse they ever see of our planet's civilization, is a video of a guy in a hard hat laughing like mad at a tesla coil shooting lightning into the air with next to no safety precautions.
That wouldnt be an entirely incorrect snapshot of our civilization, to be honest. xD
I can only imagine what the RF signature is on that coil with that crazy motorized spark gap...
I know it’s actually really scary
@@thinklist He actually runs a lot of his even crazier ones in a home-made faraday cage
Styropyro is also quite amazing, you're missing out, btw more photonicinduction madness, those never get old!
I saw “styropyro and “electricians react” and said “yup that’s the one”
Love the video mate can’t wait to see more!
Thanks so much for the support mate 🤙
Styro is the best channel on YT. He does all the things I’d do if I didn’t have to work all the time.
This guy is great. Reactions are GOLD. Keep it up mate
These are rather amusing, and your reactions feel genuine. Good job! ^W^
This just came across my feed after watching the latest styro video, I dig it. Got yourself a new subscriber all the way in the US.
Styropyro is so cool. He's a trained chemist also and even taught it. He's like a mad scientist and seems crazy but he definitely knows his safety too at least with chemistry lol. He's a whole different kind of experience totally unique.
I didn’t realise he was a chemist 👨🔬 until he’s shorts 🩳 started showing up on my feed. He is one clever dude
How seriously he takes safety really comes out when he's dealing with lasers
I'm am electrician but you gotta be almost an engineer to come up with this stuff. That's crazy. Reminds me of the nuclear boyscout.
His sense of humor is amazing
My man just said 😲😮 in the intro
I love how many unhinged (in a good way, usually) people in STEM fields there are on RUclips
12:12 Why is it funny that he added some warning stickers? It says "DANGER! High voltage!" for a reason. That reason being that if you're too close to the coil and it activates whilst you're not a minimum estimated safe distance of 3.5-4.5m, you're probably going to "unalive".
I love Styropyro, he does amazing work.
He is a LEGEND
Found your channel through algorythmic Styropyro recommendations. Love your reactions & you earned a sub!
LEGEND 🤙
Awesome video!
One of my favourite cooking channels (How to Cook That) also does debunking, and did an awesome video warning against fractal wood burning,, then I watched the Big Clive video on the same topic, and a bunch of videos about LEDs, and now RUclips has taken me here and I just hit Subscribe.
You’re a legend 💪 thanks so much for your support
Watch the Shawn Ryan interview with DJ Shipley, a seal team 6/DevGru guy who nearly died doing fractal burning in his spare time. It's an insane story amongst other insane stories from his military career.
Back in the 1980s there was a movie called "The Manhattan Project". The dude in that movie reminds me of Styro.
Dude so true. Hey thanks for supporting the channel 👌
I did this with a lamp I had as a teenager, set a coin on it and scorched my finger pulling arcs!
Styropyro's channel would've got much better content if youtube hadn't taken down multiple vidoes of him
I only recently discovered him thanks to my subscribers. He is a truly smart and awesome dude
i really love your channel!!!!!
I just started my electrical pre apprenticeship program here in British Columbia, really enjoy videos like these
Thanks heaps mate 💪 are you thinking of starting residential?
Is it hard to get into that? How much does it cost? Do you need any prerequisites?
@@curlyhairdudeify I can only really comment fro Australia but I suspect it will be similar around the world. It’s usually pretty easy a cheap to get started. I would contact your local technical school or even a careers councillor. Love to see another LEGEND get into electrical
Look more like an engineer then a real electrician
wonderful, Styro is definitely one of a kind
Great first impression. +1 sub
Thanks heaps mate 💪 oh and some sick skating on your channel 🤙
He is a mad scientist
StyroPyro is a mad scientist! Love that guy
Isn't he such a LEGEND
@@thinklist and it led me to your channel! Great content! You earned my sub sir.
@@beardedxj you’re a legend mate thanks for the support
If you thought that was insane, you really need to do the red one just below the top of your list "building a fire death machine using soviet military tech" 😶🌫
Oh man I’m hearing a lot about it. Might be my next one
Styropyro is possibly my favorite person on RUclips!
Isn’t he such a legend 💪
"Honey the wierd kid next door is trying to rip through reality again."
😆
The chances that Styro is on a government watchlist somewhere are definitely not zero.
Yes, my beloved psycho styropyro is crazy as hell but we love him
Yay Styro!
Styro pyro reminds me of the kid out of home alone grown up still making crazy shit
😆 Kevin McPyro
Your gear looks like it has never seen a job site 🤣 way to clean even for an electrician 🤣
😆 I do hate getting dirty
What he means by skin effect is that AC creates eddy currents in the cable itself which pushes electrons to the outside of the cable. The higher the frequency the stronger the effect, less wire is utilized thus the resistance gets higher. So at a certain point, the wire becomes useless.
My dream collab would be to see ElectroBOOM and Styropyro do something crazy together...
HV yes, a few kV, but RF. This is high frequency AC, capacitively coupled via the plasma/glass
the definition of "hold my beer"
Styropyro has got some of the best electrical hobbyist vids
Thank you for your service.
dude's neighbors have to absolutely love him
When I was really small I had a plasma globe and I could actually use it to influence our VHS, I could make it stop and even rewind the tape without touching the player (and no, it didn't have a remote).
The skin effect is actually caused by eddy currents due to the magnetic field inside the conductor, increasing the internal resistance. This causes attenuation of the current density (amount of flowing charges in an area). This makes the charges move best on the "skin" of the conductor. To eliminate some of the increased resistance you can use many wires wrapped around each other, otherwise known as a litz wire.
He didn't like ur comment so ur probably wrong lol
The issue with a Litz wire is that eddy currents can cause the wires to separate at extreme voltages
@@big_gunsmoke7.623no, he’s right, his comment just wasn’t seen
You do such a great job
Thanks so much mate 💪
StyroPyro is the closest thing to a mad scientist in real life. I love his channel
Howdy 👋, I’m following StyroPyro as a subscriber here on YT for many years. He’s really a bright kid and does cool videos. Your reaction is also great to watch. So, I’ve subscribed to your channel. Cheers mate.
Thanks so much for your support mate 💪 he is a true RUclips legend can’t wait to do another
See, this is what's so great about RUclips - no longer do you have to wonder "what would happen if...?" - I guarantee, someone has either tried it or explained it, and they filmed it.
Styropyro made an infrared laser that could replace a Xray for examining human flesh/bone.
What really
Hahah this guy is such a typical sparky. Clean as hell, Brand new clean shirt, not a scratch on the helmet, hands softer then a babies bum.
He is very qualified actually
You should do his fire death machine too, that thing's absolute madness
Can you imagine being styropyro's next door neighbor? I love watching his videos, but frankly I'd be terrified to live within a mile of his home lab. I know he's an expert, but STILL.... 😆
Ever play paintball with an overenthusiastic opponent? Imagine playing later tag with him
Looks like a kid at the cinema. Brilliant!
Telling about voltage is not a measure of danger, couple with high current and you will impress every time.😊
As a kid I used to hold a piece of wire next to my plasma ball and use the arc to draw smiley faces on my finger. They'd last a decent while. Couldn't even feel it, I just thought it was fun. Unfortunately I accidentally left the wire too close for too long once playing with an arc and melted the glass.
Don't know WHY I havent discovered your channel earlier - I was laughing along with you when styro pulled the silly antics with the plasma globes. That tesla coil beats mine. Mines a little tabletop model, but still manages to light up flourescent tubes a few feet away and you can touch the output streamers as the current is down in the microamp range, yet the voltage is very high - about 15cm streamers. I discovered Styropyro when I got into lasers. Lasers are lots of fun but watch your eyeballs! Sounds like your an Aussie - Sydney here :)
😆 thanks so much for the support mate. Yep I’m down in Melbourne
My b I had the volume down. Thought you were watching Photonicinduction. Best electrician youtuber lol
There are so many good ones out there. Crazy LEGENDS
Glad to see both my role models connect someway.
Awww shucks 😉
The man
The myth
The LEGEND
If those long arcs from the secondary touch flesh, there would be surface burns but no electrocution due to the low currents and high frequency. Stay away from the primary and the circuitry around the spark gaps, that is super dangerous. The 60 cycle frequency component would probably stop the heart and there is enough current available to cook meat.
Styropyro is an amazingly intelligent man.
I could have just watched the original video and said “wow” a bunch of times.
oh cool, I wanna try that, making some Florescent tubes glow under some transmission lines
My friend I see you're well entertained by Styropyro like the rest of us with jaw dropped the entire time. Please don't try to explain just enjoy!
subbed and liked :)
Gotta respect how this guy is replying to every comment
Of course mate 👌 you guys are what makes my channel 💪 massive respect to you all 🤙
your reaction is the best
This kid needs deserves a Nobel Peace prize and get hired by Tesla or some type of military unit
Just got you recommended cause I watch styropyro lol.
Great vid!!
Do a search for 'blowing a 5000 amp fuse' and react to that guys stuff. Truly scary.
I think you mean Photonicinduction and I already did one ☝️ check out my react playlist
Your reaction videos are a clear indicator, that you've been way too busy working to have binge-watched crazy ass RUclips videos! 🤣
Shocking !
So thise globes are decieving in the sense the voltage is way lower than what someone would think. The glass ball has vacuum drawn before its sealed and filled with some conductive gas. They run 2-5kv but if it was just standard air inside youd probably need 150kv to have the same effect.
As a kid i walked in to a Spencer's gifts and put a penny on top of one of these and it was able to burn the shit out of my finger.
I'm shocked more people haven't heard of him!
I used to do the aluminum foil and then out an apple on top, then I'd hold a paper clip and actually draw on them with electricity
9:44 Speaking of free energy, my friend is convinced a battery can charge itself. He's got a car battery attached to a power converter with two outlets. One has a drop cord for his lights and stuff, the other is powering a charger that runs back to the battery.
I tried to explain why that won't work, but eventually gave up thinking he'd learn soon enough...
It's been running for 2 days, and that battery is still at 12.3v... smh
Nice uniform there pal 👍 I love the helmet you got there. If I send you a special sticker, would you wear it proudly on your helmet?
You should have watched his fire death machine
Styropyro - a man sorely in need of an Igor.
