The writing team have basically transposed the character of Jane Steedman (remember her, she was Max Langemann's hatchet woman) onto Fiona. At the time, they did argue with the director and producer about this uncharacteristic driven and callous trait of an otherwise previously pleasant and passive Fiona. Still, yet again, the thrust of the plotlines must maintain the constant narrative of confrontation and conflict.
