I love the metaphor here, the emergency team saved him and gave him a chance at life, how he's appreciative of that. Now once again his life is on the line after three defeats. The players are the ones who performs on the pitch and brings the results, if they succeed, not only will the manager be vindicated, they will all get a chance once again.

Yep spot on.. to add to that, him saying how much he loves the team and how he will not blame any of them is literally him saying that they have to push themselves and be mentally stronger, to trust him and not use him as a scapegoat. Beautiful and very tricky way of speaking that can be quite powerful.

But Arteta's 5th place is different, we can feel that the team is getting stronger and stronger. the xG chart is getting better, even better than when emery took charge of arsenal (which was the peak of emery era). Fans is connecting.
Yes people judge alot because he has not won premier league and champions league. But Premier League now and when Pep/Klopp took charge is different. Pep/Klopp took 2-4 years to win champions league. But that time there is no gigants like City/Liverpool now. To topple them we need a steady progress over the year. While they took 2-4 years, we need more than 4 years because the landscape of the league is different. And we are getting closer there.
Last year the first squad is almost complete. We lack in forward and LB. But this season we already completed the 1st squad, it took long time but it is ready. And next step is the depth. We also upgraded some depth of squad this season! Enough? No, but we need to be patient. Next transfer windows we will definitely completed our depth

Nah mate, it's all about winning and trophies. It doesn't matter how you win or whether you enjoy the football, it's about how much you can gloat to your mates saying "We won something" when in fact people saying it have won or contributed fuck all. Just look at the comments, full of experts who cant even run properly let alone play a sport at professional level.
This team clearly enjoys playing football and playing with one another and for their manager. And it's clearly getting better and better, even though it's the youngest squad in the league.

I love the fact that him and Edu pressed the restart button last year and got young and hungry talent in and now they are adding real proven quality around them. Last year ended in disappointment but I am sure it will make all of them stronger and I truly believe Arteta will be a real high profile coach within the next five years I just hope its with Arsenal. But after watching the first episode of all or nothing and hearing the young supporters saying it's time for arteta to step down after 2 or 3 games last season surprised me he's only just been given the opportunity to rebuild the team of players he inherited so he's not had a chance to show what he can do. What the Gettysburg Address, Patton’s speeches, Henry V at Agincourt etc really needed was some emotional background music…….

He touched the all the players. You could see in their eyes. It’s just human nature to quickly forget the “why” - example, players like Aubameyang. That’s the difference with him and Laca, even in his worst form, he played for and with the team.

Agree although Auba certainly was professional 99% of the time, it’s just not good enough to only give 99% when your teammates need your 100%. Not to mention he scored the goal that won us this game.

Arsenal fans hatred for Auba is so weird. He worked hard on the pitch throughout the season despite missing chances, he hasn’t said a bad word about the team’s since leaving and all our players got along with him

@@arohansinha9578 General fanbase can never hate Auba. Its only the extremes. He gave us an FA Cup and as you said, he always did work hard. In terms of captains we have had, he is certainly not the worst ones

Did you guys see Laca when he wasn’t scoring? Too professional. Auba’s attitude when he lost his form was my issue not him not scoring. Again, I do not blame him. He isn’t captain material. The club should’ve known that and not put that amount of pressure and responsibility on him. He could’ve just focused on scoring goals. His personality isn’t made for leading. He’s free spirited. Oh and I’ve been a goner since I was 6.

I am not a fan of Arteta and have been criticising him a lot. But what he explained was really deep. I think this season, I am on the verge of getting proven absolutely wrong hopefully. I want our boys to become men this season. They showed heart last season, but now it's time to roar like a lion 🦁 C'mon Gunners!! ❤️🔴
