FIX FOR THE WEAK MATERIAL: I totally see what you mean about the weak material that’ll rip after a few falls. I know I may void the warranty but I got an old car inner tube and cut a piece that is the same shape as that whole piece that holds the plastic guard in place and glued it into place with a cheap glue called Selleys Power Glue which sticks vinyl. I actually cut the shape so that the “patch” goes over the top of the (towards the fingers) and folds back inside to hep protect that too seam also. I was going to use leather but I figured they probably use vinyl so that it’s all washable, so I found a car inner tube that seems to be actually quite durable against abrasions and very similar to leather as far as flexibility and strength (oddly enough) yet it’s waterproof so I can wash the guards as well!
Ya I think it's really common to mimic your foot movement with your hands. At first this bothered me but my body makes sure I hurt my wrists every single time I skip out so I've gotten used to them. Thanks for the review, I was actually looking at these the other day.
the skinny leather piece and the shoe lace straps will in fact completely rip after a few falls. I reinforced these with gaff tape at the weak areas but THAT'S ALSO EXPENSIVE. I've blazed through two pares of these. Hard don't buy if you do aggressive inline or skateboarding.
Standard Powerslide Wristguard 15 Euros...or whatever your currency is...half the price and same protection...I dont think these ones are worth it. They are all uncomfortable, so you might aswell go with a cheaper version. The protection is the important thing. Broke both of my arms while skateboarding back in the 90s. At least one of those accidents wouldnt have been that severe if i had just worn wrist protection. Just be safe, thats the point. We are not playing table tennis here xD
I use poweslides and they suck, they all make them with this flimsy leather top section they break and wear out super fast. They really suck! I need good wrist guard but all of them use the leather soft part on the top..

If you plan on trying new wrist guards, give hillbilly a try. I use the half finger, glove style and i think they're great.
