I've always been a fan of the 3 row sedans and the President is one pf my favorites. Glad to see you have one.

Absolutely beautiful automobile! I run a lawn care business right now, but when I retire; I’d love to get a job at the museum!

Here's how to double clutch so as to not make the gears clash when shifting a manual transmission without synchromesh.. I learned on a 1947 Dodge Power Wagon. Push the clutch, move to neutral, let the clutch out, push the clutch and then shift to the next gear up. Do it quickly as you can. When downshifting a throttle blip is needed during clutch out in neutral.

Yes, I was wincing with sympathy for the car every time. Usually up-changes with practice shouldn't crunch if gently done. Box is next to be done if the car is driven like this. Mind you, I couldn't double-declutch, avoid other cars, and give a potted history of Studebaker at the same time, lol.
I thought it would pull a lot better down low for an eight. For this reason when the box is done I'd be putting in a synchro one. The car is slow enough in traffic as it is without having to double-shuffle on every change!

Well I got a 29 president limousine looks just like this except for the divider with roll down glass. Hopefully I'll be able to get parts for it. And it's steering wheel is on the other side. If anybody knows about these cars I'd love to hear from them. Thanks

My grandpa has a 1937 that is low mileage and has been sitting in a dry garage for 30 years. Do you guys want it?

This has slow pick up. Most cars of that time took more than 30 seconds to reach 100. They were low revving and had no throttle response
