So many of the 21st Century movies are not enjoyable to an old man like me at 74, although I enjoyed the remake of the Day the Earth Stood Still as much as the older colorized version.
@Ruby Evans == Thanks !!! The policeman sitting RIGHT of driver in car at beggining of movie is actor MARK STEVENS who 25 years later was featured in a KOJAK tv series episode !!!! And EDMOND O BRIEN who was driving car also reappeared on tv series guest roles in the 1970s if any viewer is interested *****
Thanks Ruby, for posting a pretty good film noir. Edmond O'Brien, and Gale Storm. good couple. Could Gale have come up with a more 'made up' name for herself? 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I signed up..
At 1080p, the photography/film quality is beautiful- true Noir. The scene with O'Brien on the ledge is a good example of the use of shadows. The movie was OK, but like most Cop movies, totally unrealistic. There's always one cop they focus on, and he always kills the bad guy before thousands of other cops do. If you've ever been gassed like I was at Boot Camp, you know O'Brien would have been choking like the other 2 were. But, it's what I like to watch, so... TY for the post.
The little girl's parents look like they could be her grandparents or even great-grandparents. I guess it's true what they say: the Great Depression really aged people.
@@gwayne919 I just googled 'pics of dashboards (the car you want).' If you love old cars, it's a trip down memory lane. I also remember the Chrome on the dashboard of the Bellaire & our 63 Comet was a real Skull splitter, not to mention the rock hard dash-metal? I miss those old cars, and I haven't restored one in 30 years (parts are outrageous), and buying a classic is too much $.
Interesting/entertaining. Realistically portrayed citizens/criminals/law enforcement officials. Enjoy viewing 👀 cars/police communications equipment/street & neon lights/store front windows of that era-!!!🤗. Remember O'Brien in other movies.
Great Movie, 16:52 -- it has been a long time since I have heard a reference to the low life Simon Legree -- can't explain on youtube, I think it violates policies
Great movie and those beautiful leather jackets.
An hour and 29 minutes well spent. Great movie.
This is a surprisingly good police drama. A great script, cast and director. Highly recommend!
Any movie with O'Brien is good but this was far better than I ever imagined. THANK YOU!!!
Great movie and actors in that era.Must watch.
Thanks for the movie it was excellent anymore they don’t make good movies like this anymore congratulations for showing this 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful Mercury convertible ! Love 50's cars !!!!!!.
The police uniforms looked cool back in the day ! , especially with the leather jackets.
Thankyou for the nostalgic movie from days gone by. These movies were well worth watching, and enjoying. Not like the trash today.

Not for me. I detest colorizing.
Good movie Edmond O'Brien always great in this type of movie
Yes, and with Gale Storm just before she debuted in "My Little Margie" TV series at the age of 31 in 1553.
Thank you
Thank you

Love the old black and white this is a nice movie
You pick great movies to upload. Thanks
Very good drama.
Anything with Edmond o'Brien is worth seeing.
Thanks.
Thanks for a great movie. Love film noir. Today's movies are just trash. Thanks again, really enjoyed it.
Edmund o Brien must have been in more big movies than all the actors he was outstanding 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Instead of going out and shopping I stay home and watch Edmund Obrien flicks! I save a lot of money!
Anything with Edmond O’Brien
Great movie ❤️
There's Clark Kents mother from earth from the "Adventures of Superman" episode 1 of season 1. I turned 4 years old in 1950😊
And Bruce Wayne's Aunt from the Batman TV series.
I missed Superman when he was killed.
Finally a good i watch❤

Noir ! , ever more !!!!.
I love the b w movies movies I don't know what we're it's going
The little girl's parents look like they could be her grandparents or even great-grandparents. I guess it's true what they say: the Great Depression really aged people.
Why do the nightclub singers in these movies never have microphones.??
I had to threaten to take the cord out of the police scanner when I would leave the house, she informed me she just wanted to know that I was safe
I didn't know they actually "got" "Washing Machine Charlie" on Guadalcanal, or had dancing girls on Peleliu.
My grandfather was a cop in the 50s, there was more freedom to exercise personal judgment back then without as much red tape.
For the good ones.
If you ever noticed that the cars in a lot of these movies don’t have dashes
Strange. The Chevy Belaire my dad bought had a huge dash, as did some of the old cars I used to restore. Maybe only Cop cars?
Yes, they weren't padded. Seatbelts were to come along in the 60's.

An ad during opening credits!
The Edmond O'Brien character really taking the job home with him to an unhealthy extent.
Beautfull ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Ya la vi 👍
Nice movie, but I kept getting distracted by Gale Storm's hairdo from hell.
Superb movie!
Do not like it
