My son got whooping cough at 5 weeks old. He also swelled to twice his size because his kidneys couldn't drain the fluid in his body. He had seizures and nearly died twice. Then there are people who choose not to vaccinate their children... I am so lucky my son is okay and thank god for the NHS.

@Anita Bath Something scary about vaccines is they are made with and contain aborted baby/fetal tissue and dna cells. Formaldehyde is scary as well and a known carcinogen.

What I don't understand is why the little boy's mum didn't pull the coin out herself for pity's sake. It would have been far easier on the child!
The coin was wedged in there so she probably couldnt do it so leave it alone
@@Romifetti You obviously aren't a parent. We can't stare at our kids 24/7. It would have take that kiddo 5 seconds to put that coin where it was. Mom could have been grabbing a shirt off the wrack.
Also, you do teach your kids not to put things in their mouth. But I can bet you didn't listen to your mom 24/7, did you?

My daughter had a bad case of whooping cough she was 6 weeks old had only just had her injections she was put into a coma her coughing fits left her tired and weak I was given a 50 chance of survival and because of her lack of oxygen due to coughing fits she had I chance of having brain damage she spent 8 weeks in hospital to recover,as a mother it was one of the worst things to go through feeling helpless,, with alot of prayers she is 18 day shy of her 23rd birthday she is strong she is healthy she is my blessing,, watching this brought back that time I feel for any parent going through their children being unwell like this,

The young girl is so brave! I had surgery about that age and they had to wheel me into the OR kicking and screaming. Love how they describe it as a magic bag. I was told it was medicine to knock me out and it scared me

This is why I get re-innoculated whenever a friend gets pregnant (if it’s been long enough for my immunity to wane).
I had secondary bleeding from my tonsillectomy but it was same-day & not after I got home thank goodness. It scared me, coughing up black sludge (I was 8) but mum just lied & said it was “leftover anaesthetic”. It worked until a doctor & nurse started talking about me like I wasn’t there & let the cat out of the bag. Mum worked at the hospital as an Emergency Department clerk & never let them forget freaking me out. They should’ve known better given that they both treated me like an adult when I visited mum at work. It’s just a sign of how easy it is for medical staff to de-humanise “the patient”
My memory of temple street is being offered 7up all the time and the beds being so close together you can barely fit a chair between them. Haven’t been there in ages now
I had whooping cough when i was a baby. I was in the hospital for 2 months. My heart stopped 2 times.

That lad did not need a trip to A&E if the mum didn't want to put the coin out Incase she hurt him then take him to GP or dentist
It may have been a bank holiday or too late at night to take him to a GP or Dentist, and its not something you can just "wait until tomorrow" with. A parents first concern is that their child is hurting, she brought him to the best place she could think of like many parents with concerns.
Little kids with teeth tend to bite. She might have tried but he needed the gas and air to calm enough not to bite them. :)

At the very least, I’m sure he learned a very important lesson; don’t stick objects in your nose or mouth or it’s to the hospital for you!
My son stepped on a stapler and a staple went in his foot, I of course freaked out. My husband comes along and said "huh" then pulls out the staple, while holding a sandwich in his other hand. It didn't even bleed. Sometimes moms go into flight mode lol

I had a tonsillectomy when I was 5, and I guess I am one of the few that coughed up blood. I thought it was awesome because I got to miss even more school.😂

B, I have a disease in which it made it worse.
So, it was the doctor's idea to get it done.
I got my tonsils and adenoids out twice since my adenoids grew back

Tonsillectomies r the worst she's so brave to be drinking and look so comfortable and ok because I found it anything but comfortable and eating and drinking was nasty and painful and the scabs became scratchy and that was uncomfortable to feel 😖
