    Correction: the doc gooden was a retail jersey as the game worn ones were produced by WA Goodman and Sons. I hope 🤞🏽 Mitchell and Ness drops the 86 ROAD GRAY jerseys with the Mets script.

    How do the 86 jerseys fit as far as sizing?

    • @FormerlyNYVulgarian
      @FormerlyNYVulgarian  2 года назад

      They’re true to size in fit but are slightly longer in length due to the tail of the jersey. The front and tail end might be about 2 inches longer than the 86 version from Mitchell and Ness. Hope it helps.

    Sweet collection.
    Do you have any insight into how the authentic Mitchell & Ness jerseys compare to the Flex Base Majestics in sizing? Looking to take advantage of the M&N sale today but don’t know what size I should get. I have the Piazza batting practice M&N jersey and it fits different than Majestic… wider but shorter.

      What size do you wear for Mitchell and Ness jerseys? I usually wear medium or 40 which is the same size but on my majestic cool base/flex base, the length is usually longer than my M&N ones.

      @@FormerlyNYVulgarian My Piazza mesh batting practice from M&N is 48. It’s the perfect length (I’m tall - 6’5”) but I’d prefer a slightly tighter fit. It’s a little baggy.
      Tempted to try the 44 on the authentic but am afraid it’ll be too short. In the pictures it looks like they could be slightly longer than the mesh BPs though… maybe a 44 authentic is similar length to 48 mesh BP?
      If it helps, my cool base / flex base size is between 44-48. I have a couple in each size and don’t mind either.

      @@blakefredrickson6506 the size 44 (M&N) will be about 1 inch shorter in length and will have more of a snug fit. Since you’re 6’5 , a 44 will probably end an 2 to 2.5 inches below your waistline. I’d suggest getting a 48, then have a tailor alter the width to a tighter feel. The M&N authentics tend to run slightly longer then the BPs. What authentic did you have in mind? I’m not trying to be nosey but I want you to be aware that polyknit authentics are baggier than the wool flannel styles.

      @@FormerlyNYVulgarian not nosey at all, I appreciate your input. I’ll go with the 48 then.
      I’m looking at either the Ventura or Piazza black road jersey. Love the New York across the chest and that World Series patch is one of my favorites, despite the loss.

      @@blakefredrickson6506 great choices, i too love the black road jerseys, I rather have those back then the Mets current black uni. I tried to get that same Robin Ventura but it’s sold out in my size. Here’s a Mitchell Ness sizing chart link. Hope it helps and I hope you get the one you really want 🤞🏽.

    I'd hold onto that Seaver jersey

      I will unless I can definitely attain the road gray version in 40 or 44.
