So I decided to try this mod to my bike with the XL Shorty Kit which is the same size as the stock seat. It requires cutting closer to the end of the frame because the male ends (of the shorty kit) that fits into the female slots (of the frame) are too large. In order to get the seat to line up with the end of the tail, you have to cut further in where the pipe increases in diameter. Only problem is, the piece that's suppose to slot in is too short width wise and the slot isn't big enough. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do next. Probably going to go to a metal fab shop and have them recreate the piece with the appropriate length. Also, maybe I missed it, but I thought the shorty kit piece was metal, it's not, it's some kind of carbon fiber or hard plastic. You may want to avoid buying this.
Hey mate, great job. I've recently purchased your tail tidy kit. Can you please provide a link to the brakelight system you recommend using with it. Im based in NZ. Cheers

Hey guys, in the instruction, there is no mention of the wiring and the wiring doesn’t come pre-wired. Any chance you show us how that’s done? Maybe even just a photo of it wired so we can see which colours go where? This is a critical part of the installation and nowhere to be seen in the video.
I ordered the kit... not sure when I will install it (if I ever do). I just wanted to have the option to do so and have the kit ready if I decided to make this mod. But I question that I have is on those saddlebag/panniers supports. Where are those from? Who makes those?
Hi, does this kit come with the lights? I checked the website but it isn’t explicitly stated, from what I could see. If not, could you link the light kit please?
The question here is not about structural integrity (We're Indians, let's just be Indians, we are into aesthetics). The real thing is, COPS ARE GONNA SCREW WITH YOU SO BAD AFTER THIS MOD. no chassis modification is allowed guys. you gotta take additional advanced permissions from ARAI to do 'stuff' to your vehicle. It's not like UK here. Be careful
Really? Cops actually look for "chassis modifications"? Would most police actually know what they are looking at? Glad we don't have anything like this here is the U.S.
Ok so maybe I’m naive or just need help to understand. How does this effect the integrity of the frame? I could see cutting the cross bar but it’s just the extension piece of the frame. If you’ve ridden this bike (which I own and do) the rider is positioned so far forward from this area and never comes in contact. Again I just want someone to help me understand this. I may order it but have not yet.
Dang....this is a great product. The rear end of these bikes has always bothered me. REALLY bothered me. Whomever came up with this product gets kudos from me and I hope he makes a lot of money. PS: I just found out this is not steel. A bit of a bummer but OK as long as it's make of a heavyweight product of some sort and looks good close up.

But wouldn't the structurally integrity of the chassis get affected?
It would. This suits a show bike or one you'd use for shorter rides. Long time owners wouldn't cut frames obviously.
It wouldn't, because he's cutting the sub-chassis, not the chassis
He cut the back of the subframe not the frame that is connected to the motor! No structural rigidity is affected!
