I love the idea of using an apothecary cabinet for your pictures!!!

What are your thoughts on taking pictures or videos of some of these sentimental items that you will probably remove from your inventory? Do you trust flash drives, cds or the cloud for saving ?

I have a whole lot of digital organizing that needs to be done! We have a little personal server here, which is where we safe all of our digital files and photos. 🙂

Hi, thank you for your helpful video! I would welcome advice, please (from you, or anyone)... how to dispose of old College A4 printed paper notes, handouts & slide presentations from when I was a student? The notes are not books that I can give to charity but the data they contain would still be useful for other students and seems a waste to destroy all that knowledge! Any ideas, please? Thanks

For me, personally…I would toss them. Probably recycle if possible. The notes you took in class were your interpretation of the information. Someone else listening to the exact same presentation will likely glean different things. I do understand your hesitations - especially since hours and hours of work went into creating the notes (I get it! I was a front of the class, detailed note-taker myself!)…but unless you plan to go back and reference them, they likely don’t have a lot of use. ❤️

I would suggest uploading to an artificial intelligence website like copilot or ChatGPT

I've also been on the hunt for a cabinet, more toward an apothecary type, narrow enough to go behind my desk. I also have the vision of each drawer being it's own topic and labels on all the drawers. Was going to assign each drawer a different family member to keep photos, invitations, etc. for that person. I've found the perfect one I want on Pinterest but have yet to find it real life or on Market Place.

Oh I know! They seem to be so rare to find (especially at a reasonable price)! If I can convince Craig to try building me a mock version I will be sure to post a video about the process!

@@ArrowHillCottage -The card catalogs on Market Place in my area of Florida are in the upwards of 650.00 and up for a decent sized one. You're lucky you have someone to build one for you; you'll end up with the exact measurements you want

Could you link the storage boxes you feature here please? Thanks

I’m sorry, those were purchased such a long time ago (maybe 20 years!)…so I don’t have a link. I think I got them at a craft store - like hobby lobby or Michaels. I would recommend you do a search online for Kraft photo memory boxes or something like that…
