The soul cannot be killed by someone else, but Buddha thought the way to kill the soul, by attaining to the Nirvana (No soul/ Anatma/Nothingness /Oneness).
Many may not agree with me, but for me, the Islamic term nafs is very close to what The Ven. Had explained, I find rational Islam of the 9th century during the Golden age of Islam very similar to rational none traditional Buddhism like What The Ven explained, for in Islam the nafs which understand as conscious is said Islam that it shall taste death and not die. It also has 3 stages 1) rebellious nafs 2) Nafs that regrets 3) Nafs that have reformed. But to reform as per rational Islam each one must work for his or her salvation, which is achieving the 3rd stage. In Rational Islam each one is responsible for all their actions and will die in that state if they. Do not reforn and cleanse their mind and yes this body which will rot is only a temporary home. Rational Muslims do not believe that they will be resurrected again with the same body and I can not explain it any better than The Ven Dr.Sri Dhamananda just did, he also explained life after death so perfectly, there is no more death, death was only for the body that has to perish like explained that life can go on existing forever without the body, This is one to one in agreement with rational Islam and indeed life is energy beyond the comprehension of the human mind..

@@Life-qo3bh If I unknowingly (no intentions to hurt myself) put my hand on a hot pan; why do I get burns ??? . So, in case above there is a bad result of my physical action. . Why so? I had no bad intentions. . What kind of kamma is that? does the example above come under the heading of kamma? Is it a part of kamma or not? Please explain. Bit confused. Thank you for the video.
@@ajaymorey8962 I assume you have seen COW CART what we have widely used to transport things back in 50, 60 years ago. Buddha has said Kamma is like wheels on the cart following it where ever it goes. No matter what where ever it goes wheels will follow it because wheels have being connected o the cart and cart have being bonded to the cow. Cow have no choice. Kamma is like that. So if we go to your question, doing it you are not going to create any bad or good Kamma because you had not any good or bad intention. Basically you get burnt because that water is hot. But according to the low of Kamma, Cause and Effect, there should be a reason to you to feel to put your hand in to that hot water container. We don't know what exactly it is or we cant explain about Cause of that Kamma. Cause of effect or effect of Cause can be explained only by Buddha. Only thing we can do live your life knowing every thing is happened because of some a reason (Low of Kamma, Course and Effect) Be well.
@@Life-qo3bh here some more question came to my mind: if kamma is unavoidable then how will there be an escape from bhav(the cycle of life and death)? How will one become Buddha? Can cravings be eliminated with all the kammas intact/present? Can the root(ignorance) be eliminated with all the kammas intact/present? . Last Q. Does my earlier question goes in the realm of fortunes and misfortunes(ie. Not part kamma at all)???? . Thank you for replying. TC.
Frankly speaking, this Dhamma sermon is excellent. Happy to say that Buddhism is not a religion. It's a philosophy.

Auto generated English is funny.
Some subtitles are wrongful.... not match to speach...

If buddhism doesnot care about vegetarianism then my belief in buddhism is little faded. And doubtful uf it is a true religion.
Buddhism is not a religion. It is a philosophy.
@@Life-qo3bh it's not philosophy either, it's more a way of learning...
