I know this year they did a restock unlike Michael's. So some stuff that sold out at my local stores in May was available for purchase again in September. Unfortunately that means there's a lot of overstock since people's wallets are depleted from Michael's and HomeGoods by then. If you haven't seen yet their website got a facelift today. Some parts load a bit slow. I kinda wished they did a page view. I hate having to "Show More" every 36 results from like 2k results and then my browser crashes and doesn't remember where I was (while with a page view my browser can remember I was on page 11).
This is a great video. Often times when I go shopping I see something I like but I can't make up my mind for a while. Then when I go back it's gone. Now I can wonder beforehand lol. Thank you for this!
You are always meant to use a coupon at JoAnn Fabrics so the pillow price is actually $20. It's the same strategy Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and clothing retailers use. JCPenny once tried to do normal low pricing to eliminate this coupon circus but they nearly bankrupted themselves doing so (and actually had to declare bankruptcy later when COVID hit as they couldn't financially recover both blows). People like the idea of a deal, not an actual deal. A regular $20 pillow doesn't sound as good as a 60% off a $50 pillow. There are several research studies both psychological and fiscal about the this effect. It's also similar to stores that have "buy 1, get 1 for free" sell more things than a "50% off sale", the former has higher sales than the latter even though they are the same cost-wise. And there are also higher sales if there's a "$5 off $20+" coupon compared to a "20% off" coupon.
This in Cincinnati, OH--JoAnn's home state. There was some paper taped to the left wall (you can see at the 5 second mark next to the purple moth and planet picture frame) and it said a set week of "5/12-5/18" meaning the 18th is the absolute latest all stores country-wide need the display up. I called the other stores in my city and one just got their deliveries yesterday but won't be able to unbox and set out till the end of this week as they have to move the summer/spring stuff more (they were poor sellers in this area so they have a lot leftover unlike my store, it's reasonably depleted in spring/summer). And the other stores still haven't gotten their deliveries at all yet. I'm honestly shocked my store got it so early as usually the first wave on JoAnn vids are almost always in California or Texas as they're closer to the distribution hubs.
Also keep an eye out for coupons on the website! I was very lucky to buy 3 things with the 60% off coupon (valid Thurs-Sat) each day last week and it was only on the website, not in the app. I got the disco moon mirror, the coffin moon phase wall-mounted candle holder (the candle holding portion is on a hinge so you can flip it up to make it look like a full moon when not in use), and the purple metal moth (I love moths!). The best bang for your buck is with the 60% off reg price coupon [eg. $19.99 item => $7.99] OR a 50% off everything sale with an extra 20/25% off in-store pickup (when the website goes live) or 20% off your total purchase [eg. $19.99 => $9.99 => $7.99/$7.49]. These prices are the best you are going to get before they do the 60% off everything sale months later which is their 'clearance' sale before the yellow-tag sale (and by the 'clearance' sale, there's really slim pickings).
Oh my goodness. A number of these items are still in stock here in the upper Midwest, at only 70% off. The original prices are incredibly high!

I was really sad to hear Joanne’s filed for bankruptcy….. they always have my favorite Halloween decor.
Those lighted pumpkins are cool! I'll be watching for those

They will all go on sale shortly. They also have really good coupons through the app.
It’s 40% off
What state was your store in? I do not see any at my store yet. I am in Boise Idaho
